Barren river state park

Ranked one of better places!

Great time with great friends!

Stayed at Cedars of Lebanon the first weekend of June. The campground was clean although it was a bit crowded and the restroom/shower facilities very well kept. Managed to get in a couple of short hikes in the perfect weather. Hanging our Hennessy hammocks was no problem at our site with plenty of trees. This provided a wonderful nights sleep.

Love your neighbor

The sites are very very close together.  Very very noisy due to the highway that runs right on the other side of the tree line.   But… the folks running the show are really nice.

Beautiful lake

We had a spot on the lake ,26 , it is not real level but we compensated with our Lego levelers and a bit of wood. Very friendly staff. The bathrooms were rustic to be polite but usable. We stayed 2 nights in a 20' TT. Walmart close by.

Great Spot on the Creek

We stayed at site 110. It was great! We have a large Toy Hauler and we had plenty of room. We will definitely be back

Friendly, comfortable and quiet

We stayed here for the long Presidents Day weekend in a wooded drive through spot with few neighbors. We saw 10 deer one morning and hiked a trail with our 3 boys and 2 dogs. Electric and water hook-ups. Firewood available for cash only. Fire ring with grill and picnic table at our spot.

Quiet, clean, fun

The creek is perfect for little ones and dogs to walk in.  Nice and shady, restrooms were clean.  Quiet to just relax and sit back.  Great getaway.

Great campground

We have camped at Bledsoe creek state park 3 times and will go back. One of the best small campgrounds ever. They are clean, spacious and the bath houses are clean and well stocked. The campsites are paved, level and most of them are partially shaded to shaded. The attendants are all friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this state park to anyone and everyone.

Peaceful place

Nice peaceful camp ground. Clean and we'll maintained. Can hear some road noise but generally quiet. The creek is nice and calm. Smaller area for tents but looks like the RV side was much larger.

Ranger Review: Baileys Point

Plenty of room at our site for 2 tents, but it was a little difficult to find level spots. Lots of shade. Enjoyed hanging out in the water and finding fossils on the rocky beach. Kayaking was easy and fun. Shower house was clean. Would stay again.

not a camp but the Lady who runs it is so nice. She always has a smile on here face and she just seems to love what she does. I strive for that happiness.

This park was my home for a week or so and it was so amazing to enjoy. Deer would just walk up near you and just say hello. It's so peaceful and it allows me to think that there's not all bad here on Earth

Fun camping experience for scouts

We have hiked and camped here multiple times with our scouts. They love Cub world with the pirate ships and fishing dock. There are lots of fish and hiking paths.

Presidents’ Day weekend

We stayed here over the long weekend and it was quiet, a nice hike with the dogs and kids. We didn’t have cash and the fire wood was the only thing you could only buy with cash but the ranger was kind to give us some. We had a fire ring and a drive through site.

Great place for overland guys

Stayed here for a few nights, the lady up front was great and let me park my rig in the field out back for next to nothing. Quiet and private. There is quite a bit of light and sound pollution, but nothing terrible.

Small Circle with Big Spots

We have stayed at Seven Points around Memorial Day for 3 years now.  This year was fabulous!  Love the improvements they have made and the clear out they did on some of the spots.  We had great neighbors and enjoyed the beach! We love how it is secluded and clearly camping but minutes from shopping!

Great weekend

Our go to campground. Great stay as always.

A Great View

We have camped here for many years and all the sites are great. Checkin is quick and staff is friendly, helpful. We love that our boat can be moored into a cove very near site. Always beautiful views of Barren River Lake.

Great Facilities and Lots of Fun

I've grown up going to Montgomery Bell State Park and have been camping there for 23 years. The campground has water and electric hookups, space for RVs, and bathrooms with showers.

The campground is adjacent to a creek and a baseball diamond. In addition to these features, the park offers a lake for boating as well as a roped off swimming area and man-made beach. Next to the lake is the park lodge which includes a restaurant, meeting rooms, and a swimming pool. The lake also has a picnic pavilion with restrooms.

The park was built on an historic home site so there is an old chapel (which still has services) and an old log home as well as a small family cemetery. There are also a number of hiking trails, a suspension bridge, and very nice, modern cabins available to rent.

Perfect little spot

The downs: spaces are tight, location is in between a railroad and a highway, there is little shade & most spots are all gravel

BUT the people are amazing and make up for it in every way. Staff assists in parking and anything you need. We made great friends with our neighbors who were just as helpful and generous. Live music every night, breakfast and dinner available daily. Really is a great spot. Noise didn’t bother us at all from the trains, but we are from the city.

Bottom line, good value had a great time, would definitely stay again.

Amazing State Park

Clean and well kept campground. Sites are decent size but not very secluded. Bathrooms, including showers were clean. Draw to this campground would certainly be the state park. My wife ran a tri-athalon on a Sat so we stayed Fri and Sat. Great places to hike, bike and fish!

Beautiful Park!

The park is amazing! The campground is ok, the spaces are good sized with plenty of space between, If tent camping, I would try to get one along the wooded sides, you’ll have more privacy that way. We stayed on site 99, across from a small creek, but right in the middle of the campground. The bathrooms are just ok, there’s no changing room in the shower stalls, so be prepared.

Country feel, City close

Armstrong Acres is so peaceful. There's a lovely creek that flows along the wooded lot. Lots of camping options for tents. Tons of firewood!

Convenient to the interstate

This is an RV park, located right outside Clarksville, TN. on I-24, about half way between Nashville and Land Between the Lakes. The grounds were clean and the sites were level. Most of the people there appeared to be permanent, or semi-permanent.

The shower and bathroom was clean. They provide free internet, there is a small store with firewood and other basics. Also a pool and playground. They are a Good Sam Park, so if you are a member you get a discount.

Just perfect

My sister and I were on a cross country road trip and made a stop here! It was exactly what we needed after being on the road! The restrooms were very clean, workers were friendly and helpful! Campsites were clean, the laundry room was a plus, and the WiFi was appreciated!

Superb little place off of I-24

Amazing gem nestled off I-24. This campground offers almost all pull through sites, with a few being 100 feet long. Nice pool area with a community fire pit, and cool playground. Laundry room is big enough to live in and there’s a small store where you check in. Landscape immaculate and staff beyond friendly. Only a few issues. I you’re back around site 51 you get interstate traffic all the time and if you’re near site 9 it’s the running of the metal recycling center across the street. Also, the sign telling what to do after hours is placed where you can’t see it when it’s dark.

Very quiet and people are nice

Its right by the lake and it's very clean people are nice I would suggest you try camping here

Get ready to explore!

We were only able to stay one night, was a last minute booking. The campsites were clean as were the facilities. We camped with our 3 children, the oldest being 4, they all had a blast exploring the park. Lots to do and see. We will definitely be back!
