With over 1/3 acre of dedicated riverfront property on the Santa Fe River, you’ll have all the peace and quiet you can handle in this single spot campsite. The campsite was purpose-built for friends and family who come to visit this slice of paradise we call home. Ideally located in the heart of spring country in North Central Florida, we have over 18 major springs within a 50-mile radius of this location, which allows for all the outdoor exploration and watersports you desire. With tubing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, boating, and fishing available within feet of the campsite, you can stay nearby or venture out to some of the best springs in the world.  

  

Boaters– Private boat ramp is 200 yards up the road on the Santa Fe, public boat ramps within 10 miles on the Santa Fe and Suwannee rivers.  

  

Tubers– Tube the private section of the crystal-clear Ichetucknee river accessible only by the homeowners via our 3 waterfront parks. Both get-out parks are within walking distance to the campsite for your convenience.  

  

Paddlers– Paddle the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood, or if the time of year is right, venture up to the Ichetucknee State Park to paddle the head waters and north entrance. This is limited in season and numbers to keep the impact on the river to a minimum.  

  

Swimmers– Swim the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood via our 9 waterfront parks(6 Santa Fe, 3 Ichetucknee) or venture to either entrance of the Ichetucknee River State Park just a few miles away.  

  

Nature lovers– Explore the unspoiled conservation areas within the neighborhood that can be hiked and explored. Setup a hammock and sit by the river and watch all your worries wash away, you may get to see the occasional manatee.  

  

Whatever your passion, this campsite accommodates it with electric(50/30/15), water, picnic table, concrete firepit, clothesline and plenty of room to spread out. The neighborhood is golf-cart and UTV friendly and has lots of dirt roads to explore. The deer can be found quite easily every morning and evening while riding around and rarely run away from the vehicles.

Camp Out in Country

Our property is located in Three Rivers Estates a neighborhood of large mostly wooded recreational parcels at the convergence of the Ichetucknee and Santa Fe Rivers. The entrance to Ichetucknee State Park is only 4 miles from the property and access to the neighborhood parks on the lower Ichetucknee is 1.8 miles away. The property is on the Santa Fe River which is dotted with public and private springs, boasts tubing, boating and kayaking opportunities and terminates into the historic Suwannee River. Our two acre parcel is park-like, leaving lots of room for activities and fun and providing an expansive view of the river. Horseshoes and a disc golf hole are provided, kayaks and tubes are available on site for an additional rental fee. Three fire pits are available, one at each of the RV pads and one by the river. There is also a national park quality charcoal grill at the point of the property near the fire pit and seating for 6 on the covered boat dock. We prefer to rent to one group at a time. Send us a private message and let us know if you need more space and would like to add on the second site.

We have level grass sites with patios and fire pits. We do not have paved roads or street lights. We are located on the historic Suwannee River in Old Town, Florida just 12 miles North of Chiefland, 3 miles South of 19/98 in Old Town. ** **We are known for our 1500 ft. boardwalk to the river. We are in a great location for fishing, bird watching, hiking, biking, and boating. ​You will be afar from road noise as we are off of the beaten path. All you will hear at night are the owls as you sit by your campfire. Our resident owls, and other wild life, are the reason we do not have outdoor lights as it interferes with their hunting, nesting, and natural habitat. ​We welcome you to bring your family and enjoy nature at it's best! **

It’s no secret we love animals so don’t leave the dogs at home. Bring them along to play in our spacious dog park and make use of several clean up stations across the park for your convenience.

Alachua county is where nature and culture meet. Adventure-junkies can find 5 state parks and over 6 popular swimming holes all less than a half-hour away. Kayak the pristine Ichetucknee River or float around the popular Ginnie Springs. See wild bison and gigantic alligators at Payne’s Prairie Preserve.

With updated amenities, complimentary Wi-Fi and Cable, a friendly and 24/7 helpful staff, and large pool with sunning deck, you will find Travelers Campground to be your home away from home. In 2020 a few friends asked if they could hold a few wellness retreats on our property out of the blue. we loved hosting so much, we decided to do this full time! It has evolved from pitching regular camping tents, to the luxurious glamping tents we have today! When it came time to name our property, we used a cute pet name, Dru uses for me, Moondance, as inspiration for Moondancing Meadows.

Moondancing Meadows is a back-to-nature wellness glamping facility. We believe in enjoying the abundance of nature, with a few creature comforts.

Check in time is 3pm, Check out time is 12pm

There is a community outdoor bathroom like no other outhouse you have seen and a beautiful community outdoor shower with hot water. We have a community fire pit for all to enjoy. If you would like a private gas fire ring provided at your site, it is available for a small fee plus propane. We also offer a kitchen kit that includes a propane stove, accessories, and coffee for an additional cost.

Our goal is to provide a perfect balance of peaceful connection with self and nature coupled with a connection to community.

We are located in the Horse Capital of the World and also 10 minutes from world-famous Rainbow Springs and KP Hole Park for kayakers and tubers. There is usually a waiting line in front of the park and at the tubing entrance starts 30 minutes to an hour before the park opens. The park often reaches capacity before the morning is over. It is very convenient to be close to the park to guarantee entry. We are also centrally located and close to several other nature attractions and springs.

We offer primitive and glamping options on our property and can accommodate group camping and also hosting wellness retreats.
