Very old style

Only one person, menager and hard to find when you need it! Parking on the grass. It is not safe. Located in a close distance from State Prison. No security.

Really “0” Stars

This is not a camp sight. This is the place nightmares are created. We felt unsafe all night. Please do not stay here! Cats running everywhere, People driving by the campers taking pictures of them, not maintained at all.

It's covid... but still.

Right now, nothing is open until memorial day weekend. So no beach and no pool. Also half the park is under construction, and for whatever reason (covid?) All of the bathrooms and showers are closed in the whole park. The only thing open is the laundry- but they don't have change machines or…

Yacht Haven Marina is an excellent place to camp!

This park and the people who run it are awesome! If you camp on the canal, chances are you will be right next to some amazing yachts! 7 minutes to Ft Lauderdale Beach and 7 minutes the other way to Seminole Hard Rock Casino Hollywood! We will be going back!

Very Friendly Park Staff

This is an older campground with a lot of full-time RVers. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and will do whatever they can to make you satisfied. This is a campground in the middle of the city, so don’t expect a lot of quiet, as this is how it is in a city. We spent 14 months here…

Beautiful! But....

This park is located in a beautiful area of Fort Lauderdale, however, it closes at 7pm. So make sure to get there before the front gates close!

Great place

We came from Maryland, excellent campground. Docking at your site for waterfront spots is an awesome perk. Two small beachy areas, though wouldn't suggest swimming there. Great pool, mix of residents and campers. Boat ramp, volleyball, friendly people. Next door is John Pennekamp Coral Reef state…

Great basecamp for park exploration

Great campground, warm showers, clean. Some sites don’t gave shade, some quite small. Lots to do in Park. Beware of mosquitoes. Don’t come in the summer.

Good in an emergency.

I would camp here if for some reason I couldn't get out to one of the chickees before sunset, and didn't want to navigate the mangroves in the dark. Or if it is cold out and I am out fishing for multiple days. The site has a dock and a shore that one could put their boats. It has 3 different small…

Perfect for a first time paddle camper!

This is a beautiful Chickee! Brand new and ADA certified as much as a platform over water can be! Both platforms have ladders and the eastern platform as small steps down towards the water level for those with limited mobility. This is the only chickee with railings and 2 porta-potties, one big…

  • Steps down towards the water on the eastern platform
  • From the western platform, looking east. Notice railings and 2 porta-potties.

Loud and open to public

Before our stay my husband called to check on availability. We were told that we would be able to view the sites to see which one we would prefer. When arriving on the property was not able to get anyone at the front gate so had to park in the middle of traffic to walk through gate. While checking…
