This site is a high-use facility as a put-in and take-out point for rafting and fishing on the Upper Colorado River. Radium is located along Grand County Road 11, approximately 2.3 miles north of the Colorado River Headwaters Scenic Byway. Radium facilities include 2 paved boat launches, 3 accessible vault toilets, 2 picnic shelters, 9 standard campsites for up to 10 people per campsite; 2 group campsites for up to 30 people per campsite, and parking. The best time to visit is summer into fall. The river may be running high in the spring due to winter snow run-off. The Upper Colorado River hosts over 90,000 visitors each year between Memorial Day and September 30. Weekends are very crowded. Group campsites are reservable through the Kremmling Field Office at 970-724-3000.

Sugarloaf camping is a first-come, first-served campground is located in the Williams Fork Valley next to the Williams Fork River. There are 11 non-electric sites that will accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site contains a tent pad, fire grate and picnic table. Additional facilities provided include restrooms and trash service. Drinking water is available at South Fork Campground ½ mile away. Due to the recent mountain pine beetle epidemic, campsites have no shade. Popular activities include hiking in the Arapaho National Forest and nearby Byers Peak Wilderness area, scenic driving and wildlife viewing.

This site provides four campsites with picnic tables and BBQ stands or fire rings. No restroom provided and all cat holes must be at least 100 yards (75 Steps) from the river. Windy Point Site

Managed by the Yampa Ranger District. This campground is located in the Bear River area of the Flat Tops Wilderness, 14 miles southwest of Yampa on Forest Development Road 900. This campground is in a large wooded area that makes a small loop with 43 sites + 4 double sites and 1 triple site making it a popular place for RV’s and families with children.

Trappers Lake is known as the "Cradle of Wilderness." At approximately 302 surface acres, the lake contains a strain of native cutthroat trout and the Colorado Division of Wildlife operates a spawn collection station at the Cabin Creek inlet during May and June. Trappers Lake itself lies completely within Flat Tops Wilderness; motorized boats and wheeled carts for boat transport are prohibited. Trappers Lake Lodge rents cabins and boats, and there are 5 Forest Service campgrounds nearby. Dispersed camping is prohibited within 1/4 mile of Trappers Lake and the campgrounds. Some of the wildlife you can expect to see include deer, elk, mule, and majestic golden eagles.
