Pretty view, very isolated

We camped here for 3 days at the beginning of July. There are about 6 or so designated campsites with tables and fire pits (which we didn’t utilize because of the fire ban). Good amount of shade and pretty windy at time, which was well appreciated because it was 90 and sunny all three days. There…

Secluded campground in the middle of nowhere.

Stayed here only for one night, as a stopover before hitting the Grand Tetons National Park. Small campground with only about 6 primaries sites. All with a tent pad and most with picnic tables and fire rings! We did not use due to the fire ban, unfortunately. No amenities other than a vaulted…

Great state park!

Stayed 3 nights in early September in A loop with 30A service. Each sight had a covered picnic table where I stashed the bikes from the elements. Water spigots provide a sight for container water but not RV hook-up. A bike/walking trail of about 1.1 miles through the trees and near the river was…

Super cute

It’s beautiful there’s no water type things but down the canyon there’s a fun rock place to climb around. There’s a toilet but it’s was in some bad shape def needed a cleaning cause wow. A lot of blue jays and shade good space fire ring and amazing stars the echo off the unusual mountain side where…

A great off the beaten path free campground

This is a really neat camp for those looking to get away from the normal summer Colorado crowds. It’s in a gorgeous limestone canyon. I think there are 7 sites in juniper trees under hundred foot limestone walls. No cell service for me (ATT) but very quiet and peaceful. Please leave it cleaner…

Secluded Dispersed Camping near Allen Basin

Allen Basin Reservoir is roughly 1 mile from Crosho Lake. The only way to access this reservoir is by using trail #1181 and either hiking in, or using an ATV/dirtbike. You can not drive back to this reservoir.

There are roughly 6-8 dispersed camp spots on the road towards Allen Basin Reservoir.…

No privacy but showers and laundry

Good spot to stop and shower/do laundry in between primitive camping. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit, the table has cover. Good cell phone coverage. Playground. Showers, laundry. Reservations (at least one day ahead) required.

Pros: — clean facilities: flush toilets, showers (coin…

Nice, clean campground

We spent July 4th holiday at this campground. The site had lots of green grass and some trees. We were close to the boat ramp so it was an easy walk down to the river. We drove out to Steamboat Springs one of the days and had a lot of fun on the river trail. Hayden has minimal services so stop in…

Yampa River Cmap Ground

We came in at night to find our tent sight after back packing for three days. There was not a lot of way finding so it took us over 30 minutes to find where we were going in the dark. There was also a lot of road noise. On the flip side the park is well maintained and the river is beautiful

Huge, lots of RV spots

We got to the campground after closing time for the park headquarters and visitors center and so just had to drive the many loops to find a spot. The main area has power and costs more, but after walking around some we found what we wanted, tent sites. There are only a few, they are powerless, and…
