A friendly place to stop and recharge

The Raton KOA is conveniently located off I-25 in Raton, NM. The campground offers of a mixture of back-in and pull through sites that are a mix of mostly live gravel and dirt. Most sites have 20/30 amp service, water, and septic hookups, although less expensive sites with fewer amenities are also…

Totally recommend

We were going to try our luck at a different campsite and got booked out. Luckily, a very kind person recommended this one and I couldn’t be happier with our stay. We stayed at site 10. My favorite part of this site was that there was nothing but beautiful trees on an uphill right behind…

Beautiful start in south central Colorado

A large campground at the foot of the southern San Isabel mountain range. When you first drive in there are secluded tent spots, then small cabins. There are many spots all around the lake, with large tenter sites on the opposite bank of the lake. We set up amongst the trees in a relatively open…

Little Hidden Gem

Beautiful place in Southern Colorado.     It is a busy (small), very pretty campground Southern CO (not all spots are shaded).     Great Hosts with clean vault toilets.     Lots of hiking trails and the lake (which is very pretty).

No phone reception (YEAH)... and a bit off beaten path. …

Hike, Fish and have fun!

This little hidden gem is a great way to spend your day. Although the site closes at dusk, there is plenty of time in the day to squeeze the juice out of this little alpine oasis. Fishing is allowed from shore, dock, boat or ice fishing during the winter months. Parking is easily accessible and…

Incredible Views

The views driving up from the main road are absolutely stunning. I was here when the leaves were changing in the fall and I’m not sure there are many places in Colorado more beautiful than up here. The lake is pristine and clear and you can see every trout in the lake. The fishing was fantastic…

Beautiful Lake

This lake is in an absolutely beautiful part of the country. The campsites are all situated around the lake and each has a great lake view. Fishing is good as well. Close to a small convenience store and cafe so everything you need is near.

High Altitude Lake Site

This campsite run by the National Forest Service is about two hours drive west of Trinidad Colorado and about 45 minutes from the small town of La Veta. The site is accessed off of scenic highway 12. You drive about 5 miles up a step dirt and gravel road with multiple switchback to reach near…

Great rv or tent sites. Amazing views and fishing

Small store and restaurant on site

Free fishing is usually first weekend in June and the local fire dept hosts a fishing tourney

Sites fill up quickly. Busy on weekends. We prefer Sun-Thur to miss the crowds.

Near Stonewall which has…
