Excellent location for an overnight stay

Extremely well organized staff and very clean. Confirmed our reservation the day of our arrival. The location is perfect and there is fuel and food nearby. The spots are pretty level and all have full hook ups and cable. A tad on the pricey side at $55, but there are discounts for AAA, AARP, Good…

Cheap spot with Electric

Rv spots are on the side of the gift shop parking lot. They have 30 Amp hook ups for only $15/night. The gift shop closes at 5pm so you need to be there before then or you will be without power until they open in the morning and you can pay then.

Great for end of winter

We always enjoy this campground. All the loops were closed but the Mallard loop. Going through some renovations on the others. We had freezing temps overnight but the days were perfect. A bit windy but bearable. No fish or even any bites.

Really lovely

Stars were amazing, the sites felt spaced out and private. I'd happily camp here again!

Nice But Sites a Little Tricky

This is really a Park Model Resort that has about 25% of their sites set aside for RVs. The RV sites are scattered throughout the park but they have tried to group them together as much as possible. The sites are pretty level, really wide, and fairly deep. There is a concrete patio with each site.…

  • Parking space for RV site. Parking is next to your RV.
  • Park Models.
  • Example of sites. Most have trees. RV goes to the right of the tree between patio and sewer connection.

Beautiful campground

Great setting on the lake. Hardworking helpful host team keeps the grounds and toilets immaculate. Lake is lovely. Early morning access before day use crowds come is great for quiet early morning kayak or SUP use.

Beautiful views!

Great free area to camp. Spots go fast on the weekends. There were some campsites where people left trash which was disappointing. Pack it in and out!

What do you want for FREE?

Located just before south entrance. FREE ("Boondock") camping on East side. Electric (no water) for $15 on West side. We picked East as Solar gives us all the A/C we need! Gift shops to explore on both sides. SEVERAL abandoned cars in front of shops to "chum for patrons".... Great place to…

Quiet camp sites.

With your permit to hike Cibecue Falls it gives you one night of camping at the camp ground. There is no power or water. They do have a bathroom. It does make for a relaxing night after a short hike to the falls. The road back is a dirt road with a cliff on one side. Saw cars back there so not a…

Easy to reach getaway.

Van camped one night to test out our new van conversion. Area seems well maintained. Man made lake, levels are low. Easy to access from main road. Spots seem spaced well. Nice pad, picnic bench and fire ring.

Expensive and noisy

You are basically on the side of interstate. For tent it is really noisy option as tent sites are closest to the highway. In addition is rather expensive option ($33 per small tent).

Extremely friendly and clean!

We stayed here in 2017. The spaces are well spaced & large. Lots of shady spots. Owners were very helpful and friendly, (this was our maiden voyage), & the park matched. Would happily stay there again.

Easy on and off the 40

This rv park is easy to get to, has full hookups at every site, looong pull through sites (I’m 48’ w my toad and think I take less than 1/2 of the site), restrooms, laundry, shower, great customer service on the phone and in the office, free Wi-Fi and cable. Definitely an older park, but it’s easy…
