Not as busy as the other campgrounds in town

Smaller in size and way less amenities than the other KOA but way more quiet. If you’re looking to have a more peaceful stay, this is your place. Further away from the lake.

I-15 traffic noise

Nice facilities, paved pull-thru and back in spots. I checked in around 8 pm and found no one at the entrance booths but there are provisions to leave a cash payment in an envelope and drop into a slot. The traffic noise from I-15 is quite present. It's very distracting and probably the loudest…

Love It!

We live so close we’re at this park all the time. Spent a weekend camping with friends. Got lucky and lined up the three spots in a row right by the creek (last three before the trail up to the falls). Was a great time with good people. Bathrooms were clean and camp host was nice and helpful.

All by yourself along the road.

We stayed in the campsite overlooking the lake and accross the road. There are about 7 campsites all with metal pole building type shelters and picnic tables. Each site also provides a fire ring. One of the downsides to the campground is the proximity to the road. There was a number of loud…

Overnight Stop

This campground was convenient to come in late and leave early. We called ahead and they were very accommodating. Manager gave us an end sight we could pull in, stay hooked up, went to bed, got up early and headed out.

Got the job done

We were road tripping through with no reservations. The whole South Fork area has many campgrounds. Magpie is the first and one of the smaller of the campgrounds as you drive up the canyon. We drove through all the campgrounds and didn’t find any hosts to talk with to find out if we could occupy a…

Clean and Simple

Great little Rv park just off the highway and tucked in behind a hotel. You’re far enough off the road you don’t notice the highway noise. It can be a little hard to find just look for the Quality Inn and the entrance is on either side of it. The sites are super nice and level, and have great grass…

Something for everyone

This campground has been a friends and family favorite for many years.

My husband and I recently took our toddler and infant here and had a blast. They found joy in simply throwing pebbles in the creek and making mud. Before we had kids, we would bike and hike along the different trails. There’s…

  • lots of blueish and purplish rocks to find here
  • The creek was low, but as you can see there’s plenty for adventures.
  • our site had a fun log laying across the creek

KOA Journey

All in all this campground is pretty good. Showers and bathrooms are clean, a basic grill at every site, the grass is green and well maintained. Campsites are a little close but to be expected when camping at a KOA. The KampK9 is a nice touch, a small area to exercise 1-3 dogs at a time. There is…

Beautiful Place To Camp

This is such a lovely place to camp. The campsite has many trails going down to the lake. Fir trees are everywhere, and the campground is very clean.

Great spot!

Went here with my family, none of us knew this campground existed before finding it on the Dyrt. Definitely a hidden gem! The sites were mostly in shade which was nice in the heat and also pretty to look at. We stayed at site 4 which only had two sites next to it (one on each side) but there were…

One of the best!

My boys thought this was the greatest spot we’ve ever found…. Site 53 was by far the best in the camp. Large fire pit, at the back of the campground, the creek was 10 ft from our tent. Trail for hiking right there and the cleanest bathrooms! Camp host was friendly and helpful with on questions…
