Settlers Junction
The New Go-To I-15 Basecamp in Southern Utah (Toquerville, UT)
Reviewed by: The Crew at Hitched4fun.com
If you regularly travel Interstate 15 between Southern California and Utah, finding the ideal halfway stop can be a challenge. With St. George becoming increasingly crowded, dense, and hot, finding a spacious, stress-free RV park right off the highway is a breath of fresh air. Enter Settler’s Junction RV Resort in Toquerville, Utah(Exit 27). This brand-new, massive park blew us away and has officially earned the spot as our permanent go-to halfway stop on our Southwest runs.
Location, Freeway Access & Fuel Convenience
When you are hauling a large setup, location logistics are everything:
- Effortless On-and-Off: Situated directly off I-15 at Exit 27, getting in and out of the resort is as simple as it gets. You don't have to battle city traffic, multiple stoplights, or congested shopping centers.
- Massive Adjacent Fuel Station: Right next door to the park is a massive fuel station designed to handle large vehicles. Being able to top off diesel and gas without making a detour or squeezing into a cramped station makes morning departures completely stress-free.
Park Quality, Mountain Views& Elevation Perks
Because Settler's Junction is brand new, everything across the property is modern, wide, and thoughtfully designed:
- Spacious Layout: The resort is huge. The interior lanes are wide, turning radiuses are generous, and the sites offer plenty of breathing room between rigs.
- Scenic Surroundings: The mountain views in every direction are stunning, especially during sunrise and sunset against the Southern Utah red rocks.
- The Elevation Advantage: Sitting just up the grade from the St. George basin, the resort sits at a slightly higher elevation. That slight bump in altitude means noticeably cooler temperatures—a huge relief during late spring, summer, and early fall travel.
Gateway to Zion, Kolob Canyons & Beyond
While this makes the ultimate I-15 road-trip stopover, it is also a premier destination basecamp:
- Avoiding St. George Congestion: St. George has grown rapidly and can feel congested when navigating a large RV. Settler’s Junction gives you quick access to town when you want it, while letting you sleep outside the hustle and bustle.
- National Park Proximity: You are positioned right in the sweet spot for adventure: close to the main canyon of Zion National Park, just minutes from the red-rock cliffs of Kolob Canyons (Zion's less crowded northwest section), and right down the road from Sand Hollow and Quail Creek.
Hospitality That Stands Out
What really made our stay memorable was the on-site team. The staff was incredibly welcoming, warm, and helpful from check-in to check-out. They went out of their way to make us feel right at home—the kind of genuine hospitality that RVers always appreciate after a long day behind the wheel.
The Hitched4fun Verdict
Settler’s Junction RV Resort is a home run. With its brand-new facilities, massive pull-through sites, cooler mountain breezes, and unbeatable fuel and freeway access, it completely redefines the I-15 travel corridor through Southern Utah. Whether you are staging for Zion or cutting between California and Salt Lake City, this park belongs at the top of your list.
