The one bedroom cabins were secluded, rustic and completely charming. There is some hiking and a nice playground in this state park.
Angel’s Campground is adjacent to Lake Moultrie and is a great place to launch a boat for fishing. The Santee Cooper area if famous for record sized catfish and other species. The campground landscaping is well-maintained. It does accept tent campers, but I would feel out of place if I were just…

This is one of the two campgrounds at Santee State Park, and it is as different from the other as night and day. Unlike the dirt roads at Lakeshore Campground(the other campground in the park) the roads in Cypress View are paved. The sites are gravel, and many of them are pull-through sites.…

Located easily off I-95 this was a clean, well appointed, very nice campground with good facilities and kind staff. Would definitely stay here again!
The park is located down a long, wooded road on the edge of a beautiful lake. Campsites are adequately spaced apart giving a fair amount of privacy. The bathrooms seem to be clean and tidy, although we didn’t actually use them except to drop off some trash. Very quiet and peaceful with the…
This is a very nice place and well maintained. We had a great spot on the lake with a great view of sunrise. There are cypress trees in the lake and nice wildlife.
This campground is very remote. I believe it has a camp store, but they close very early and were never open. Many of the sites do not have much privacy. We had to deal with neighbors coming in and setting up camp 12 feet from us at 3:30 in the morning with no regards to other campers. The bugs…

Beautiful views of lake Marion. Nice little beach with cute benches to watch the sunset. Dirt lots so pretty dusty. Older restrooms but clean. Looks like they are remodeling. Not all sites have sewer but a dump station on way out
This was our second time visiting “The Mountain”. We enjoyed Site 1B so much from our last visit we decided to reserve the same site again. There was some trash from previous campers littered around the site when we arrived. Please don’t be a litterbug! This is a terrific boondocking site and one…
I hardly ever give five stars to a campground. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 9 because of the background road noise from the highway, but my wife and I had such a great experience. It was everything we wanted… and needed.
Lakeshore Campground is one of TWO campgrounds at Santee…

This park is great having large sites and great trails for mountain biking.
Camped here mid-April and had a blast. The hiking trails are well marked, and feature some interesting views and slightly more challenging climbs. We rented a canoe and a kayak and paddled around on the pond. Lots of other campers over the weekend, but thinned out by Sunday evening.
We stayed in the Lakeshore side, and after viewing the Cypress View campground, we made the right choice.
Cypress view is nice, and closer to the camp store, but is geared more toward RV campers, and we are tent campers.
The drive in is mostly paved. The road in is bumpy in spots, but easy to…

Camper Van Excellent Verizon coverage. Water and Electric. Site #100 (best lake front site in Eastern Loop). Direct access to Small beach for swimming from this campsite. Direct access to lake front trail. Bath house clean but grade C.

Crowded. The camp ground is definitely crowded. We got lucky and had no one to our left and a very quiet and considerate neighbor to our right. You don't always get lucky like that though! We also didnt realize our site backed against an open field. It appeared to be maybe a gathering spot, had a…
