Best RV Parks & Resorts near Cherry Grove Beach, SC

We camped at HBRV the past three nights. We were in site #46. Great site, full hookups, end site so privacy on patio side of RV. Staff was great. People were friendly. Only 2 miles to Holden Beach. Fire pit, firewood for sale. Some long term campers.  Definitely enjoyed our stay.

This is a very clean, modern, and well kept RV park. It’s big rig friendly since many of the sites are pull through with full hook ups. Bath houses are very clean and look brand new. There is a beautiful boardwalk along the Intercoastal Waterway where you can watch the boats pass by. There is also a large pool with massive water slide and a nearby tiki bar. Lots of amenities for kids and a well stocked camp store.

This isn’t what I think of as an RV Resort. The camp sites are close, no trees or nice landscaping. It’s a parking lot with a pool, wave rider and such on the outside edge. Not even a water view. Kids probably like it, but we didn’t. Way over priced for what it is - and mostly isn’t.

Sweet spot near Myrtle Beach, SC yet far enough away from the overwhelming commercial properties, yet so many things to do!Beautiful Marsh walk to view birds and other critters at low tide (bring tons of bug spray in the summer), beautiful flat beach (great for walks), visit Atalaya Castle, the historical home on the property, then cross the highway to Brookgreen Gardens (spectacular Christmas lights display is a MUST see during the holiday season) to enjoy the sculptures and multitudes of plants. They have plenty of other amenities including RV hookups, beach shower facilities, ADA friendly beach access, picnic tables, playground, nature center. Palm trees galore! We camped there in September 2022 in our Super C Dynamax DX3. We sere stunned by the beauty of the Park and the Atlantic coast. The campground has a lot of advantages: heavily wooded, full hook-ups, nice facilities, friendly staff. However, the campground has a big problems with dressage system, which makes their dirt packed sites, muddy and unpleasant. We happened to camp there during a big rain and our site was flooded. Barefoot RV Resort was so CLEAN! Like I mean immaculate. Has 2 pools (one for kids with a slide & lazy river and one more for adults/quieter activities). The pools are in opposite corners of the resort. Bathhouses were new and very clean- water pressure great. Our site was very well kept, easy to use with a grass patch, cement pad & paver fire pit. You are quite close to all your neighbors here, but that's to be expected in Myrtle Beach. Rent a golf cart from Salty's- they deliver it right to your campsite. This was a must have as we used it to get to the beach, shopping/bars in Barefoot Landing, food store and more. Staff were welcoming, informative, accessible & friendly. We would absolutely come back!

We spent three nights in myrtle beach state park with full hook up. The Campground is big and maximized for renters and RVs. Space between sites is a bit tight but there is plenty of trees and coverage that provides good privacy between sites. The beach was very nice, a lot of people at the beach but plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. It’s super family friendly and the kids had a great time!

This park on the beach offers you the feel of a park in the woods but only steps away from the beach. Large sites, full hook ups and great people. Super friendly staff.

Old campgrounds but have full hook-ups. Beach side has sandy lots with waist hi weeds around electric poles and water spouts. Clean new bathrooms. The golf cart parade every night is an accident waiting to happen with children driving them and Zero street lights at best and people can't cross from the beach to get back. Pools were nice and Food trucks every night were excellent 👌.

Big Cypress Lake RV park is a smallish (approximately 10 sites) RV park located on a private lake. The lake has a walking path maintained by the landowners. Reservations are required to stay in this RV park. There are nightly and monthly rates. The park can handle even the largest RVs and most of the sites are right on the waterfront. The site has fairly good reviews on Google. Electric (up to 50amp) and water hookups are available. There is a picnic area by the water, along with 2 docks you can fish from. A large grassy area is available for pets (must be leashed).

Rates are currently $50/night ($795/mo) which includes fishing on the lake (which is private to the RV park). Tent sites are available at $45 per night ($495/mo.)

We stayed in the new section with great, full hook up, level, gravel pads and some new grass and landscaping, large new picnic table and fire pit. And a decent amount of space from next door neighbor at an angle. And the bath house has a private toilet, sink and shower- beautifully tiled and maintained. Lovely relaxing weekend. Oh- and a free trolly takes you to the beach and some restaurants.

We’ve camped here for about 2 weeks annually since 2015. It’s fairly well run, has decent restrooms, and a secluded tent area. All RV sites have 30-50 amp & water. The South Campground was added a few years back & has full hook-ups just behind the beach dunes. There’s lots to do in the area. Campsite prices have skyrocketed in the last few years.

I came to this campground because of its location about 5 miles from Kindred Spirit Mailbox on Bird Island.

The campground was quiet. All the guests were quiet, but friendly.

Water and electric hook-up, laundry on site, showers and toilets behind the camp store office. Great cement picnic tables/benches!

Not close enough to beach unless you have a car or bikes. Parking lot near beach is $10. Pool clean; ice and firewood on premises for sale.

Dump station near entrance/exit. Road into camp is incredibly narrow. 2 vehicles can’t fit; one has to pull over to the side to let another pass by.

Absolutely stunning park! The amount of bird/wildlife watching here is unbelievable! The north rv/tent loop is very spacious with an abundance of grass and trees, all sites have power & water but only a few dozen with sewer. The south rv straight has full hook ups and concrete pads but are not as spacious as the north loop. Bath houses are clean and have been recently updated with fresh tile and fixtures. The beach itself is large and covered with pristine white sand, all beach access paths are well maintained and pretty in there own right. Highly recommend a visit to this park!!! Super convenient to everything but peacefully tucked away for your enjoyment. 🌅

This is a great state park with an absolutely beautiful beach. Dogs are allowed year round. However we stayed in the new south campground and did not love it. Sites are very close together and about 5 of them have an ugly electric grid right on your site. Check with park to make sure you are not booking one. Also the full hook up is outrageously expensive. The beach access is going to be great once they get it open from the new campground. Bathhouse is really nice. If you stay in this campground the sites on the beach side are much nicer. The sites across the road are angled for constant sunlight even with canopy. Not good in the summer. I will go again but I will be in the older campground!

We arrived on a Wednesday night after the office had closed but there was a person available at the gate to check us in. Went right to our campsite and set up for the night, campsite was flat and located right near the jump pad which was great for us. The next few days were nice as well, we had a few hot days to get in the pool and sprinkler area which were all clean and easy to access at the campsite. We walked up to where the playground and Gaga pit were and they seemed nice enough but didn’t stay there long because our children were more interested in the jump pad anyway. It was easy to bike around the campsite and you can rent a golf cart as well. This campsite was close (walking distance) to the main strip (business 17) of Myrtle beach. A close drive to all the Myrtle beach attractions and the beach as well. We visited in April and were very lucky to have hot and sunny weather. The day we left was raining and very cold. Check out was fine, no issues. Compared to some of the other RV resorts in the area, the price was better but they had less amenities for children. I also prefer more dispersed sites and more privacy which I doubt is offered here but was good for a few days. Thank you, we’d return.

I grew up near here, and Huntington Beach was our go to spot for primitive camping and a place to escape the tourists.

You can do full hook up or primitive camping here. I've done both with church groups, the family, and solo.

This is a pretty awesome place with no shortage of things to do...

• and more

And, I saved the best for last...if you go out walking late at night, you can catch the big gators warming themselves on the road by moonlight. Just don't get too close. They're pretty fast.
