Best RV Parks & Resorts near Cherry Grove Beach, SC

Several full-service RV parks serve the Cherry Grove Beach area with North Myrtle Beach RV Resort offering waterfront sites along the Intracoastal Waterway. Barefoot RV Resort features concrete pads with full hookups including 50-amp service, while Hideaway RV Park provides a quieter setting with spacious sites. Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach (formerly Carolina Pines) contains 800 RV sites with 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections. Most parks accommodate large motorhomes and fifth wheels with pull-through sites available at several locations. Site surfaces vary from gravel to concrete pads, with many offering picnic tables and fire rings. "Large lots with nice long pull through, clean and quiet with a friendly staff. Cherry Grove beach was only 15 minutes or so away," noted one visitor about Willow Tree RV Resort.

Throughout the region, RV parks remain open year-round with peak season running April through October. Reservations are strongly recommended during summer months and holiday weekends when beach access is most desired. Most campgrounds provide reliable cell service for both Verizon and AT&T users, though signal strength varies by specific location. Pet policies differ between parks, with some offering designated dog areas. "The dog park is small and definitely geared towards smaller dogs. It has a cute agility type course set up," shared one camper about North Myrtle Beach RV Resort. Dump stations are available at most parks, and many sites include full sewer hookups. Propane refill options are limited within the parks themselves but available at nearby service stations. Many RV resorts feature amenities like swimming pools, planned activities, and shuttle service to nearby beaches.

    Willow Tree RV Resort

    Amazing vacation

Best RV Resort we’ve been to so far. Large lots with nice long pull through, clean and quiet with a friendly staff. Amenities included nice swimming pool and hot tub. Volleyball net and basketball hoop on each end of pool. Shuffleboard, corn hole, sand volleyball. Game room had a pool table, ping pong table, air hockey. Books galore to borrow, DVDs if you have a player which we don’t, but we don’t camp to watch TV. Store had a puzzle you could spend time working on and a checkerboard with rocking chairs to just hang out in. The lake beach was closed for the season when we went but the inflatables looked like they would have been fun! Mile long paved path around the lake was great for walking or biking. Catch and release fishing too. Had a mix of annuals, short term campers and on the other side of the lake they had nice cabins and a small park model village. Exercise room and a nice clean laundry room. Bath house was 8 individual doors to full individual bathrooms of toilet sink and shower which were kept very clean. Cherry Grove beach was only 15 minutes or so away and there was a Food Lion less than 10 minutes for grocery shopping needs. Resort store had reasonable prices for ice and wood to burn in the fire pit. Only negatives which weren’t a big deal was nothing can be strapped to trees... aka no laundry line or hammock attached to the trees and no tents allowed. We will go back! Wish it was closer to home.

North Myrtle Beach RV Resort and Dry Dock Marina

Great Amenities - Quiet off season

We camped here in our 34 travel trailer. We both work from home on hot spots and our Verizon connection was great.

The place is VERY quiet in the off season. We didn’t have any neighbors in the surrounding spots.

The pool area looks super nice, but it was a little to chilly for us to spend any time in the pool. The hot tub however was a great way to end our work days! There are plenty of showers and two laundry rooms. Both are very nice and clean. There’s a small arcade which was fun too.

Check in was super easy. We were very late and they accommodated us. The staff is polite and friendly.

The site is great. Concrete pad makes for super quick and easy leveling set up. There’s a fire pit and picnic table. The spots next to us are “premium” so they have a little pavilion over their table.

The dog park is small and definitely geared towards smaller dogs. It has a cute agility type course set up. Our GSD felt a little to big for the dog park, but we made it work.

    Ocean Lakes Family Campground

    Nice beachside campground

One big campground with a lot of amenities. Nice people. Good size sites with concret pads and patio that accommodate larger rigs but the roads between the sites can be tight. Kid and pet friendly. Wish it had a dog park. Very large camp store, large laundry facility and water park. Very fairly price considering the he amenities. We’ll be back.

A large grassy area is available for pets (must be leashed).

    Huntington Beach State Park Campground

    Awesome campground!

Absolutely beautiful park. Well maintained facilities and lots to do. Within easy walking distance were hiking trails, Atalayah'castle'(great tour), nature center and estuary walk, gift shop/ visitors center, lots of hiking trails, and the beach! We walked everywhere but bikes would be awesome. We were in site 113 on the back loop- those sites(back loop) were super private and very well spaced out for privacy- the most private sites I've ever seen at a state park. Wifi was good near the bathrooms, but not at our site, so if you need wifi go towards the bathrooms. We camped at Huntington Beach State Park in a Travel Trailer.

    Myrtle Beach State Park Campground

Quiet wooded park on the beach, but so close to Myrtle Beach!

This State Park is in one of the best locations we’ve seen. Nestled in a huge wooded setting, set back from the beach. It doesn’t feel like you are just 15min from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle beach. There is a bike track for easy access to the shopping complex across from the entrance to the State Park. Its 15min from Murrels Inlet(great seafood places!)

The State Park has its own fishing pier and you can walk to Mtryle using the beach! There is an entrance fee for visitors to the Park which keeps traffic down (fee not payable if camping). It is also gated from 10pm to 6am.

Most sites have some privacy between them. Half the sites are full hookup, the other having electric and water. Most sites can fit a travel trailer or larger, with a few sites towards the front of the park reserved for tents (or tiny trailers only). The amenities although older, are clean. Decent size laundry which takes $2 of quarters. Cell service (Sprint) was ok, however the parks WIFI is poor, especially toward the back of the park, do not rely on it. Even in the off season(December) they said it was also due to so many people using it.

Fire rings and picnic tables at each site. Firewood for sale at the camp store for $15 a bundle. Summer it wouldn't work at all. Will definitely stay again.

    Ocean Lakes Family Campground

    Convenient and Great Amenities

We just finished our stay at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC. We enjoyed it and will return.

Cons: no shade, sites really tight, a lot of golf carts zooming around, internet flakey - if you could stay connected it was good, site not level

Pros: right on the beach, a ton of amenities - including potable water, affordable for being on the beach with full hookup (e,w,s,c,i), concrete pad available, super easy to get to (it has its own intersection redlight).

*picture from our site to show distance to ocean - less than 100 steps. Site #2073
