Warm Hospitality, Great Fishing, and Wildlife Adventure

I recently spent a week at Bells Marina& Resort, and I have to say it was an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, the owners were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home.

The RV site itself was perfect. I had a great view of the water and was able to watch wildlife every day, from white herons to bald eagles. And the fishing was outstanding! I even caught a trophy-sized bass that made my week.

There was still plenty to do. I loved the community barbecue and pizza oven, and the giant Ring of Fire with the spectacular water fountain in the middle was a great place to socialize and meet new friends.

Overall, I had an incredible time at Bells Marina& Resort. It was the perfect getaway for me, and I can't wait to come back and do it all over again.

I found family and a lake!

When I travel in my Class A RV to a new site finding good customer service is the most important factor. I have visited beautiful camp sites but had a horrible time because I was treated poorly. At Bells Marina and Resort, I am treated like family. I liked it so much that I made it my home base. When you come just ask for Jud or his wife Charlotte and you will feel at home. Jud purchased this property a few months ago and his renovations are turning this hidden gem into a must-see destination. If I was you I would get here now while the rates are so low. I am on the lake and get to kayak or fish whenever I want. Lastly, this is a historical site. It is located in Eutawville. "The mighty Cherokee Indians named the area“Eutaw” for the tall pine trees on the mound in the great bend of the Santee River." https://www.thecolumbiastar.com/articles/historic-eutawville-part-1-indians-marions/

Dilapidated But Direct Water-Front Access

OK, you might actually drive by this 'campground' a few times before you circle back and take a closer look at the dilapidated signs that are falling off the post holding them up, but don't be dissuaded by the fading facade of this place.  While you might actually miss the turn off for Bell's Marina, Restaurant & Campground (just look at the sign in the pics!), once you find where you are heading and get past the storefront blocking the grounds, you'll soon enter a small loop, where half way through, you will discover bliss on the water.

There's only about 30-40 spots here, and only 3-4 have direct water access, but if you have a boat and/or heading out to fish, then this is a great spot to check out on the super cheap.  I would describe the area as basically someone's very large backyard, where you can basically park your RV or pitch a tent pretty much anywhere you want, as long as you aren't pitching it on top of someone else's home for the night.

Couple of insider tips: 1) get out on the water as early as you can - watching the sun rise from the bow of my kayak was nothing short of spectacular; 2) while I didn't hire a fishing guide, there's this bro named Gary who is apparently the man to hire (hit him up at 803-492-7924; and 3) while the restaurant at Bell's doesn't look like much, I did stop in for some biscuits and gravy and it was pretty delish, so I'd give it a try.

Happy Camping!
