Welcome to Standing Pines, where we’re introducing “wildly comfortable camping™” to the heart of South Carolina. Just minutes from charming downtown Hartsville, our family-friendly campground blends natural beauty with thoughtful amenities. Consider exploring nature with our Forest Friends, lovable woodland characters who welcome new friends to our growing campground community.

Early guests enjoy discovering the natural beauty of Standing Pines in a serene setting. Take in lovely sunsets (or sunrises, for the early risers), breathe in the pine-scented air, and catch sight of many of our native birds – maybe even one of the Forest Friend Clover Cardinal’s many relatives. Our large 80+ full hook up sites provide a comfortable home base, each featuring 30/50 amp service, water and sewer connections, free WiFi, custom oversized picnic tables, and fire rings with cooking grills. We’ve designed each site with plenty of elbow room to create an authentic outdoor living space.

Our campsites and Welcome Center opened to guests on December 1, 2024. We love seeing early guests enjoying wildly comfortable camping at Standing Pines! The indoor dining area, camp store, media lounge, Laundry Lounge, and Oasis Outdoor Showers (weather permitting) all enhance guest comfort while camping. Our professional guest services team is ready to help make your stay memorable.

As of January 2025, guest recreation areas include our two fenced dog parks, gaga ball court, Back Yard group recreation space, gem mining station and yard games available for check out. We encourage guests to look for the Forest Friends in the Welcome Center and the Back Yard – can you find these friends in our art and activities?

Past the Welcome Center and large RV campsites, Standing Pines stretches out with more than 50 additional acres of growing pine forest. Here, we invite our guests to spread out, breathe deep, and reconnect with nature and each other.

Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, Standing Pines offers options to suit your camping style. Our spacious RV sites feature gravel RV/vehicle pads and sandy outdoor living areas with plenty of space for your preferred camping setup.

For a more traditional experience, our tent sites blend natural camping with the convenience of electrical hookups. Our cozy log cabins offer a distinctive option, combining rustic charm with modern comforts including air conditioning, microwave, and mini-fridge.

Peaceful, clean, and super friendly new RV park (Free WiFi)

We stayed at Standing Pines RV Park in Hartsville, South Carolina and were really impressed. This is a newer park, but you can tell the owners put a lot of care into the property. The grounds are clean, quiet, and surrounded by tall trees, which creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere while still being close to town. The sites are level, spacious, and easy to back into. Full hookups worked perfectly. Cell service was strong enough for remote work and streaming. The park roads are wide and well maintained, which makes everything simple when arriving or setting up. The overall vibe is calm, safe, and welcoming. The owners are helpful and available without being intrusive. It already feels like a comfortable home base and it is clear the park is being built the right way. If you are passing through Hartsville, working in the area, or looking for a quiet place to stay for a while, Standing Pines RV Park is a great choice. Very clean, very relaxing, and we will definitely return.

Brand new and family friendly

The owners sell this place! Amy and Craig incredibly friendly and hospitable hosts. We started this Campground with Big Dreams, and I really hope they are able to accomplish them all! The dump trucks and heavy equipment just pulled out a couple weeks ago, so the campground looks like a construction zone a little bit still. However, brought three kids with me and we have had a blast! The outdoor showers are Anything But Ordinary! I've had to tell my youngest son that he's had too many showers in a day!

We deeply appreciate the first guests, like your family, who believed in Standing Pines while the heavy equipment was still working on site. It's amazing to think back to your April stay six months ago. If you were here today, we would have fun pointing out all the changes to each other. ;-)

Please let the kids know the lake has fish now and we should be ready for catch and release fishing in a few months!
