Very nice family friendly camp

The campground is well kept and clean. The owners are wonderful and all amenities are maintained in a like new state. They are constantly improving the campground and have family friendly activities for all. Halloween is a must see event in this camp with everyone decking out their sites.

We are well traveled and have visited many campgrounds in various states. This is among the best we have ever experienced.

They have added to already beautiful campground

This is our favorite getaway from Charlotte, NC. Level lots, nice pool, enclosed dog lot, clean bathhouse, clean laundry room & activities. As of April 2024 they have added a nice playground. Lisa is the best host.

Great small campground

We stayed for a month in January. Lisa was wonderful and very accommodating to us. Our site was very level and tucked back in the corner of the campground. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Campground. Even Better People!

Very neat and well-kept.  Fun for kids:  Pool with splash mushroom; playground.  Tho the rain made our site a bit muddy, our gravel, pull-thru was very level.  While we were only here for one night during our return home, even a short visit shows that without a doubt the biggest value at ICC is the expert knowledge, generous helpfulness, and unsurpassing kindness of the owners.  Lisa is a gem!

4.3 stars

The owner is fantastic- very helpful and friendly. We had a great site, but others along the road were less private. My boys and I loved the pool- Ideal for young children and adults alike. We had it to ourselves! There is also a nice new playground that is good for ages 10 and under. The broad river greenway is 15 minutes away and was beautiful. The campground was extremely quiet throughout our stay. There is one short trail behind the pond that is being built. A day or two here is just right.

Great owners !

We have stayed in many campgrounds and have rarely found someone as friendly and inviting as Lisa. We arrived in the cold rain and she stayed with us until we were parked and fully connected. Our extended stay was very pleasant and comfortable.

Weekend Warriors

We live in Charlotte and use our RV just to get away as often as possible. ICC is our most favorite campground! The hosts are wonderful, the sites are level, there’s shade, a pool and our favorite part is the fenced in dog run. Great place!

MONTHLY RESERVATIONS BEWARE

Monthly reservations beware!!! We have a family emergency and had to cancel our one month reservation. On our $100 electricity receipt there was no cancellation policy documentation. When I called to cancel we gave them over two week notice. We gave Iron City Campground $100 to put toward our upcoming electric bill now after canceling it NO REFUND for electricity we did not use!

Nice!

ICC is a nice place just over the NC border on I85 in SC. Very close to Charlotte and Greenville areas. Lots of southern pines provided shade. We opted for a premium site with concrete pad, grill, and swing. Was pretty easy to back into and perfectly level. They have a great store and an awesome new pool. They try hard to keep the place looking good. The only drawback is that the park is close to a racetrack. We were a bit taken aback when the race started on Saturday night and went on for quite sometime. It was pretty loud.

Outstanding

The park was less than a year old when we stayed, but it did not lack in quality or professionalism.

I bet it is even more developed today.

Great Campground

We just finished a two week stay at Iron City Campground in Blacksburg, SC. Great campground. Lisa (the owner) was fantastic and super accommodating. We were in site 45 with full hookups. The pool/picnic area was clean. The sites were clean and arranged well and the entire campground is very well maintained. There is Saturday night karaoke and a fenced dog park with benches and a fire hydrant. Each site has a campfire ring, two person swing, picnic table. Some late night road noise, but nothing concerning. Very convenient to Shelby, Gafney, and Gardner Webb University. Great Campground. We will definitely stay here again when we’re back in the area.

Relaxing Campground

We found this place one weekend by chance, have stayed twice now and love it. Wonderful family owned place, who also work do most of the work there and are very helpful. Our 12 year old son loves the pool and being able to ride his electric bike around the campground. The host does a great job lining up activities including Kona Ice for the campers on Saturday's.

We have already booked Labor Day 2022 and I am sure we will be adding many more 3-4 day weekends in the future.

Kid friendly

This was our second time staying here. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Plenty of things for kids to do. Playground a sports area on the grass, swimming and trails. Bath house is 1 occupant at a time. Some campers didn’t really follow the rules at quiet hours, or the pool no smoking or drinking rule.
