Tent camping

Did some tent camping in mid October. Had tons of fun and the park was really clean. Bath houses were nice and had hot water. T mobile service doesn’t work at all, but they have Wi-Fi hotspots for rent for $5 per day. Tent camping was $7.50 per night. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5, was…

Rocks in Pond? I Couldn't Find Any

This RV park is massive and has immediate access to water for your boat, kayak or canoe.  Shortly after entering, you'll only need to continue due straight until you reach the double boat launch (extra points here for Rock Pond providing their own gas pump - and according to the fisherman I spoke…

  • You'll see this sign from the main highway, follow it passed a right then a left ...
  • and then you'll come to this spot - slow down, those speed bumps hurt!
  • Come for a little drive with me as I enter the campground

Dilapidated But Direct Water-Front Access

OK, you might actually drive by this 'campground' a few times before you circle back and take a closer look at the dilapidated signs that are falling off the post holding them up, but don't be dissuaded by the fading facade of this place.  While you might actually miss the turn off for Bell's…

  • Look for this dilapidated sign from the side of the road (but it is only legible in one direction (unfortunately, I was coming in from the other direction!)
  • This nice sign won't become visible until after you pass the storefront at Bell's
  • Most folks here were RV'ers with houseboats in tow

gorgeous location

It’s a great location and very quiet. Walk in campsites and pretty secluded. You can see you neighbor, but a decent amount of space in between and not many campers overall. No electricity, but there’s LTE connection. Also only one pit toilet for each gender and no running water at the site.

Awesome location, campground, and staff

We were the only people in a tent. We were known as the tent people. They have awesome food. One of the most blessed weeks of my life.

Very Pristine Gated RV Resort

A very nice attendant greeted us as we approached the gate and opened it so we did not have to exit our RV. The sites are very spacious and are staggered so each RV is not looking into another. The Resort is located within walking distance to some restaurants in the quaint town of Lake City, SC. We…

5 stars for the price!

The staff is super friendly. The grounds are well maintained and the sites are very large. Bathrooms are smartly decorated like the 50’s probably because they’re older-nice touch. We were concerned about the reviews about the motel nearby but it is closed down now and not a problem. We felt safe.…

Great stay

Loved the campground. Spread out, nice and peaceful. Bathrooms and showers were not the cleanest, but you are camping. We had site 88 which was great. Plenty of room for two trucks, 32 foot camper and a 19 ft boat. I will say it would have been much nicer if they would cut the shoreline to give you…

Worth The Time

When we came it had little to no amenities, but I really enjoyed the area and the RV park. This was my first park that had free laundry which was an absolute bonus. Hearing that bonus in the reviews made me a little apprehensive about how busy it would be, but I did laundry 3 times out of the…

Nice Park but close to the Highway

This park is really nice and clean! You can tell that it is well taken care of. The sites are large and far enough a part; but be mindful of the site you pick! Our sites were right next to the highway, I will say though we did tune the noise out the longer we stayed (and drank). Palmetto shores has…

Beautiful but way to quiet

This Campsite is absolutely beautiful, we stayed during labor day weekend so it was really crowded and we like that because it makes us feel safer. Well we came home and everyone was gone except for 5 campers. We decided to go out to dinner and when we came back we immediately noticed that our tent…

Great campging at Lake Wateree

1st time here and it was amazing! Nice owners and very helpful. Bathrooms were very clean. The wifi was great. The beach area is super nice to spend a day on the water with your family. Price is a little higher then the state park but so worth it!!

Great In a Pinch

First of all: this place is mainly an RV campground and I am a tent camper.

But I was desperate, so I showed up here without any prior contact or reservation.

They allowed me to pitch my tent close to the lake, far away from the RVs. They do have a bathroom with a shower and it’s not in the best…

Quiet, nice sites.

Booking is easy, and staff are very friendly. Most of the sites are in the center of a loop road. Sites 1 & 2 have power and are outside the loop. Site 1 is back in, 2 is pull thru. Sites 8 & 9 are outside the loop and the most “remote”, with 9 being more-so. The rest of the sites are in…

Very nice place to stay

With the exception of thunderstorms, Crossroads was very nice. Bathrooms were roomy and my Mom loved the cedar lined shower rooms. Looked new and the town was very quaint. I’d love to stay again.
