Great Campground

Stayed overnight here on September 14th . Pleasantly surprised to find such well kept facilities. Bathrooms modern and very clean. Nice pool area. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Nicest KOA Journey we have seen in a while.

Post-Apocalyptic Lakeside Camping Experience!

OK, so there were no zombies that we accidentally bumped into, but that said, the whole campground was supposed to have gone through a massive redo that was intended to be completed by May, but by the time our camping experience began (2 full months later), the whole place was still going through…

Secluded Campground in National Forest

It was difficult for me to find Woods Ferry, but after talking with a park official, I finally got there. It is off the beaten path, so it is quiet. Apparently, there had been a lot of rain recently, and the area showed it. Woods Ferry is a campground mainly for campers who have horses. There are…

Primitive Camping Close to Hunting

If you want to get away from civilization, this might be the place to camp. However, it is beside a road, but the road is not used very much since it is a national forest road.

I was glad to see that it had running water and one of the cleanest pit toilets I think I have ever seen. The…

Party Central on the Weekend

We camped at Hamilton Branch for a week, Monday-Sunday. The campground was quiet and lovely during the week, however Friday snd Saturday nights were loud-Several folks partied very late into the night (2:00am) with loud music, loud voices, etc. On the positive side: The lake was great, and we had a…

Loved it!

The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is the fact that the campground road is in pretty rough shape. Most of the sites have a nice view if the lake. Some do have a steep drop off, so you’ll need to walk to the launch area (dirt slope) for access. We went specifically to golf, and had a great…

We will return

The roads leading here are quite comfortable for our 37' motorcoach as are the roads inside the grounds. This is a very well maintained USACOE facility. Our site (19) is quite large and very level (after the entry driveway): plenty of room for the coach and at least 2 other vehicles (we only have…

Amazing State Park

Beautiful state park campsite on the water. Clean. Newly renovated community areas. Great rentals and goods to purchase from the Ranger Station. Affordable, yet luxurious.

Good but not national park status

Would have been nice to have water within walking distance of the campsite. Get sight 1 of Longleaf campground, otherwise it's a long way to drag your stuff unless you are set up for back packing. Hiking was decent but not spectacular. If you Kayak put in at South Cedar Creek and it will be worth…

Lake view campground

This campground was absolutely beautiful. Had a tent site with a beautiful lake view and easy access for water activities. Our dog LOVED it! Would definitely stay again. Only complaint was camping in the heat but I guess that’s the price you pay camping in the south in the summer. 9/10.

Nice quiet stopover

From the welcoming hosts to the well groomed sites, this KOA is a perfect way-stop no matter where your winds blow. The salt-water pool was a pleasant surprise and the discreetly placed gnomes and fairy gardens along the way make this place just right. Topping the evening off was a chorus of song…
