Great stop over

Beautiful area, quiet, sites are spaces out. Has pit toilets. 8.00 per night, very reasonable. Stars are amazing here.

Solid BLM option

Right off main road but far enough there isn’t any road noise. Well maintained camping area.

Great campground

We arrived here in late November...stayed two nights. Beautiful. The night went down to 18° and we were the only ones here. Beautiful spot. The campsites are nicely spaced apart and all have a fire ring and a picnic table. The other reviewer did a perfect job describing this place. Check it out.

Great little spot

Small Gaurd station but its all you need. It makes for a treat central  point for camping  or RV, but no beds in side cabin. We have slept on the floor  but the tard is perfect  for a tent or 3. The area is beautiful  but the creek  is so very tiny and back behind the cabin. It has a vault toilet…

ADA kind

Peaceful, sampler RV / trailers oks. Good spacing. Good place to stop for the night.  I didn't see much recreation around except OHV nearby in a staging area.   Good stargazing in the meadow.

Loved the isolation in the middle of the forest.

Wife and I stayed here in June 2019, and loved it. The building is quaint with gaslights, and gas fireplace. The fold out bed is old and worn out. I recommend putting an air mattress or at least sleeping pads on it.

There's a big refrigerator and gas stove in the kitchen, along with some pots and…

Amazing location for BLM camping

We stayed one night here, and it was amazingly peaceful and quiet. We expected dispersed camping, but were pleasantly surprised by the campsites. No hookups, but a picnic table and grill/firepit were at every campsite. Pit toilet buildings were located in several areas. Sites were semicircular with…

A gem in the middle of the forest

We stumbled on this campground with no reservations and it turned into one of our favorites. Large spots with hardly anyone around. Beautiful trees everywhere. No hookups but water available and bathrooms. Fires pits and picnic tables. We were able to have the dogs off leash cause there was nobody…

Open but quiet with beautiful views.

This campground is right by a reservoir but not much mosquitos. The ground is hard which made putting the stakes in the ground difficult. Vault toilets but clean. Beautiful sunset.

Murderer's Creek is Full of Surprises

The Cabin

Besides the pullout couch leaving a lot to be desired, this little guard station was wonderful. Perfect for two, this cabin comes with propane heat and powered appliances, so no need to sacrifice meal quality or comfort. We were here for Thanksgiving and it was great to be able to…

  • Small propane powered stove in cabin -- possible to cook Thanksgiving dinner on it
