Not great if you're not a member

It's old. If you aren't a member you are treated as such. We had called multiple times to try and book and they never would answer. Their is no online portal to book. The old man running the facility is not friendly at all. He tried to turn us away because we were not members until he called an…

One of my favorites in Oregon

I love the lower campground. The sage-juniper smell is intoxicating. Sites in the C loop can be dusty, but the views are incredible. Most sites in the B and C loop have multiple hammock-ready trees too!

Super chill camp spot

We came here about a week ago to explore the painted hills (obviously). And this camp spot was perfect! Our first night we were completely alone. Súper se Ulises space that doesn’t seem to be widely known. It seemed that most visitors were just passing through and not staying over night. It’s just…

Family Friendly & Neighborhoodly

Cove Palisades state park is pretty rad, especially if you’ve got a family! There’s a playground, a fenced in dog park, trail heads, showers, and a cute little camp store. If you’re looking for seclusion, this probably isn’t the park for you. But if you can get roll with the communal feel, Cove…

Secret Gem

Love this campground close to Bend, Sunriver and LaPine. Bring your bike and fishing pole.

Great area!

Searching for a spot on Saturday during Memorial Day weekend was probably not the best idea, but we were able to land a decent space in this BLM rec area.

Priest Hole has a few kinds of spots, some at the banks of the John Day River, some in the hills and some in the open. The riverside areas are…

Gorgeous High Desert with Jaw-Dropping Views, Lake and Hiking!

Warning: gets scorching-hot in high summer!

Great for anyone who loves doing things on the water but be advised, lots of noise from boats when it's busy!

Lovely hiking but limited: there are really only two in total: if you're camping at Deschutes, you can make a lovely 4.5-mile daily…

Let the adventure begin

The campground is clean and has nice bathrooms and showers. Great location.  Close to rivers and lakes for fishing, kayaking, rafting.  Close enough to Bend.  Tumalo has awesome food carts!

Our "go-to" spot for dispersed camping

Love this dispersed camping area just south of Sisters, OR. We've camped here a few times over the years and there are never many campers around. We just camped here over Memorial Day Weekend and there was no one camping within at least a mile or two of where we were. There are lots of different…

Gorgeous but hot

Great time over Memorial Day weekend but got there a little later than I would’ve liked and missed out on any natural shade. There are several sites along the John Day, fires only allowed in a metal pit (bring your own).

Easy Access Nothing Special

We stayed here for 3 weeks. Being next to the fair grounds gets busy during the weekend, pretty empty during the week. The west side of the park has the better spots with plenty of room for a big rig or 5th wheel and parking for a car or large pick up. The east side is much tighter. Easy to get…

Great campsites, well spaced and close to the river.

Took a 24’ RV to campsite #5. Little rough for that rig, cars and trucks no problem. Sites are well spaced, many with excellent access and views of the river a few feet away. Cleanest vault toilets I’ve ever seen. Can barely hear the few cars that do go by. Beautiful, dramatic scenery that…

Great Location!

We stayed here last weekend and really enjoyed our time. We were lucky enough to be in a big group site and had our own bathroom. There was even a kitchen sink outside for cleaning!

The campground is right by the river and just 15 mins from Bend. The location for us was great.

Decent spot, convenient to Bend

Stayed for two nights midweek and was 1 of 2 campers out there. Most establish sites had trash and liquor bottles in their fire pits, so I can’t speak to what it’s like on the weekend, but I would stay again.

I’m learning the ropes of truck life while working full time, so the proximity to Bend…
