Not a campground

This place is on private property and has gates all around the area. Maybe it was once a campground but surely not anymore.

That's a real Campground temporarily closed

We drove to this location on June 19, 2021 and found that the forest service has closed this Campground because of a beetle infestation. They are in the process of cutting down all the dead trees and will not open vehicle access or Campground access until July 30th of 2021

Uncrowded

Used it as a stop over on a trip between Wallowa SP and Redmond, OR. No reservations, no problem, as there were only 3 other RVs when we arrived at about 5 pm.

Green grassy area, gravel roads and pads. No hookups, nice day use area, nice short trails, and local history of the site.

Nice for an RV park

After you enter through the trailer park with RV sites in the middle (over flow) you enter a great looking western themed store and office. Staff was very nice. A lot of folks live here full time. Pads are gravel and a little narrow. Very nice grass area. Very clean park. From our spot we had a…

Great campground on the river

Super beautiful and huge campground. Not far from bend or crater lake. The campground is huge there is 61 site total. Very sweet camp host you can buy wood from. Great bathrooms, water stations, and trash cans (as well as recycling)!!!!! There’s benches and fire rings. Some sites also have grills.…

Hidden Gem

We stopped at Unity Lake SPCG after pulling off I84 onto 26W, OR. The drive is spectacular and beautiful, the SP serene! CG was very clean, not crowded and mostly empty. Has paved sites, room between neighbors, elec hookup and water for our RV, and there’s a dump station, A full cell signal too.…

Nice location and wonderful hosts!

We stayed overnight here in mid November of 2020. It is on the SW bank of the Snake River, not far from FareWell Bend and the town of Huntington. And, it is next door to a public boat ramp (where you can boondock if you so choose). The proprietors are very nice folks and the scenery is…

Up in the woods

We ended up at this spot after finding roads closed by snow farther up the hill. It had plenty of fairly flat ground for our 26” skoolie. There was a fire ring, but we didn’t use. It got very cold at night. We were fine in our bus, but our traveling partner had his water bottle freeze in his tent.…

On the river - some very separated comp spots.

We spent one hellaciously windy night here. I'm sure it's great when it's not windy. Nice views, nice moon-rise in the evening. All was great until around sunset when the winds kicked up. Tough with a tent. But, that's the way it is in the West. enjoyed walking near the river with the dog though.…

Nice river view

Stayed early Spring and much of the campground was still closed. However, catfish loop was open and there was plenty of space. We pulled in late and found a spot right away. We would have used a tent spot since we didn't need water or power but it wasn't as easy to find. The spot we chose had both…

Beautifully maintained campground in the Blue Mountains

We stopped by Anthony Lakes on our way back to the Willamette Valley from Baker City. The campsite is on a property that becomes a ski resort in the winter (it's at over ~7000 ft). The campground was immaculately maintained and had lots of recreation options. On weekends in the summer, the ski lift…

Anthony Lakes, across street, is more desirable

We drove through here while staying at Anthony Lakes, which is located across the street. Mud Lake Campground is closer to the road than Anthony Lakes, and the lake was more stagnant and less picturesque than the alternative. To be fair, it looked like it was undergoing changes/renovations while we…

Peaceful and free to camp

Lovely location in the mountains of Oregon. We drove a few thousand feet up a gravel road to get to this campsite. Easy access for my little sedan. I typed the latitude and longitude (found on the website) into my gps but lost service maybe 15 or 20 minutes before we arrived. Luckily it still was…

Charmless and pricey but not without its plusses

The Baker City Motel has turned its back parking lot into an RV park that appears to be largely composed of long-term residents. It is charmless with trailers and campers wedged closely together on what was a muddy surface on the night I stayed there. That said, the park delivers on its promises…
