Crane Hot Springs

Burns RV Park offers a quiet get away in Burns, Oregon.  Elevation is 4,150 feet high desert.  Surrounded by miles of open space gives you the feeling of pioneer days.  Many different attractions for the adventurous.  We are conveniently located between several National Parks.  Whether you are on your way to or returning from, we'll be in your travel plans.      

Come stay, our sites are easy to access, 30-50 amp, full hook-up sites, shaded, and big rig friendly.  Cabins, TeePees, along with tent sites available.  Satellite cable, secured WiFi, bathrooms with showers, and laundry for your convenience.   A small store on site with RV supplies, an espresso bar, Oregon-made wines and micro beers.  We also offer Hawaiian Dole Whip, a local favorite.

You'll find your home away from home that is quiet, peaceful, relaxing, and conveniently located 1/2 mile East of the town of Burns on Hwy 20.   Come stay for Smore night and enjoy a marshmallow with us.  We also have horseshoes, bocce ball, ladder ball, corn hole, badmitton,  croquet, volleyball  and a book exchange for your enjoyment.  We are  also a dog friendly park!

This campground sits on the quiet shores of Yellowjacket Lake. This beautiful and quiet location offers abundant birding and wildlife viewing opportunities with eagles, osprey and pronghorn antelope frequenting the area. The lake has a small sand beach and an easily accessible shoreline for fishing. This campground has a very nice covered group picnic area.

Wickiup Campground sets off of Forest Road 15 tucked amongst trees, next to Canyon Creek, the perfect place to relax in the shade during the summer months and listen to the creek flow past. This is a beautiful campground that offers opportunities for picnicking and stream fishing. The campground is a good starting point for hiking, viewing wildlife and hunting during the summer and fall months. During the winter the entry to the campground makes a great starting point for snowmobile riders.

Near the North Fork Malheur Wild and Scenic River, the campground provides opportunities for hunting and stream fishing. This small rustic campground is popular durning hunting seasons.  A great area to camp that is easy to reach during the summer months allowing for a great get away for those looking for a more secluded space. 5 sites available.

We manage and maintain a wildlife refuge and habitats for ingenious migratory wildlife . We also provide hospice care for older and special needs equine. A refuge is a safe haven for wildlife to traverse safely during migratory seasons no wildlife is ever held captive. We provide specific forage and water for the pronghorn and mule deer that they need thrive on. We currently have 4 miniature goats and one Dwarf donkey. Because we are a very small operation we can only hospice one equine at a time. . We are NON-PROFIT in every sense of the word all that I do is volunteer no administrations fees are accepted; all donations go the care of rescue animals that we shelter; for their veterinary care and feed supplies. Bring binoculars for wildlife viewing. AMENITIES: Off leash fenced in dog park. We do have a public restroom which is maintained & sanitized daily. Potable well water. The site is pull in or back in. Very easy to maneuver with a large turn around area. We do not have a pull through. COST: Donation can be made in advance via PayPal through our website or you can donate in person. COMING SOON 20 ACRES OF DISPERPERSED BAREBONES TENT CAMPING ( 2022) pack it in pack it out; leave no trace motto and best practice. The Tuckers' Private Campground, Hobby Farm & Animal Rescue

Overview: One of Eastern Oregon's most popular fishing spots, man-made Chickahominy Reservoir was first stocked with rainbow trout in the summer of 1967. It is still stocked once or twice a year with fingerlings and legal-size fish. The water level fluctuates with the amount of spring run-off and can be low at times, affecting the availability of fisheries. The recreation site offers 28 campsites, a fish cleaning station, drinking water, vault restrooms and a boat ramp. The extensive valley where Chickahominy Reservoir lies is surrounded by foothills, distant buttes and rough ridges - a landscape that provides far-reaching views of the open high desert country. Know Before You Go: The fishing season peaks in June and resumes in September as the hot summer weather ends. Ice fishing is popular from December to late February. Shade is limited and strong winds are common; be prepared to tie everything down. Five, eight-inch minimum length trout per day limit; bait is allowed. Point of Interest: Wildlife species common to the area include mule deer, pronghorn antelope, black-tailed jackrabbits, coyotes, and ground squirrels.
