"This place was great, they allow dogs and had hiking trails with beautiful views you could enjoy right from your campground. It's also close to other local hikes like Mt. Privacy between sites: Mahlon Dickerson Reservation offers well-spaced campsites in wooded settings. "The sites are very large and I suggest site 7. It is on a hill so have a hand truck or a few people to carry stuff. Trust me it is worth it and I think it's the best tent site they have," recommends Christina L. Urban camping access: Liberty Harbor RV Park provides a unique option for visiting New York City. "This is all about location. The closest RV park to NYC. It's basically a parking lot with a dump station. Two blocks away from NJ Path train into Manhattan or take the ferry to Wall Street!" reports Keith and Tia S. Limited facilities at some sites: Not all campgrounds offer full amenities. "This is a primitive camping experience. You can use your generator at certain hours. They have a beach. Their staff is friendly. I love going here," notes Adaly about Beaver Pond Campground. Many state parks offer only vault toilets or limited shower facilities.
