Located at 2600 ft., in the high desert of Pahrump, Nevada, and nestled under often snow covered Mt. Charleston, Pair-a-Dice is an oasis with abundant water and sunshine. We are situated between the extravagant excitement of Las Vegas and the picturesque isolation of Death Valley.

We are a nonprofit RV Park owned by it's members, all of whom must be members of Escapees, Inc. Membership in the Co-op entitles the member to the use (leasehold) of their specific site and all common areas. The 182 sites are approximately 45' x 80' and includes a pedestal with 20, 30 and 50 amp service, sewer and water hookups. There is a 10' x 14' shed with a 10' x 10' attached patio at each site. Many use their sheds as offices, workshops or for storage.

Our park is an Adult park though children are welcome as guests.

SKP Pair-a-Dice RV Park

Located in a ghost town outside of Las Vegas, the Retro camper sits in the desert hills with beautiful mountain views. Walking distance to hiking trails, bike trails, and the famous Pioneer Saloon. Near wild horses, jackrabbits, and other wildlife. The camper is also a perfect place for stargazing.

The camper has one full size bed and sleeps up to two people. There is also room on the property for a tent. Toilet and shower are available, shower is cold water only.



Retro Camper with Desert Mountain View

The location is about an hour west of Las Vegas in the California Mojave Desert. Even though the lights of Vegas are visible on the Eastern horizon, above Tranqvillium there is no light pollution and the entirety of the visible part of the Milky Way is shining down on us. Tecopa Hot Springs is 30 min West of us, along with China Ranch date farm. From China Ranch, it's a 40 min hike through Mars-like terrain to a swimming hole complete with a small waterfall, where the Amargosa River comes above ground. The ancient lake bed where Tranqvillium is located is surrounded by medium-height mountains, which are perfect for rock scrambling, and the world-famous Red Rock climbing site is nearby too. The place is very rugged and is recommended for experienced campers who are not taken aback by wilderness living.

With 379 full hook-up sites and accommodations for 100-plus feet, we are overwhelmingly the first choice for RV camping in the Las Vegas region. All sites have 30 and 50 AMP connections for recreational vehicles. And, the only Adult-Only RV Resort in Las Vegas!
Also, all sites can be rented daily or monthly, where you can choose from standard, deluxe, premium, and XL sites. Please note that we are an ADULTS ONLY resort. RVs must be fully self-contained with a grey and black water holding tank.  Our Entry sites are full-hook up back-in sites located near the entrance before the Patrol Shack.  Pet Friendly. RV's must be 20 years or newer.

## Overview

Red Rock Canyon's standard, RV, and group campsites are located in the stunning Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, an approximate 20 mile drive from "The Las Vegas Strip." Visitors enjoy hiking, rock climbing, bike riding and scenic driving in this unique Mojave Desert environment.

## Recreation

The Red Rock Scenic Drive & Visitor Center as well as the Red Spring / Calico Basin areas are 3 and 2 miles respectively from the campground and accessible by vehicles. Activities available from the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center are hiking, bike riding and rock climbing with guided hikes and educational programs available on certain days.

## Facilities

There are 53 individual standard sites. Ten People and two Vehicles are allowed per site in the individual sites. There are six RV Sites which have room for one RV and a vehicle. Seven large group sites can accommodate up to 20 people and 8 vehicles. All standard sites and group sites contain picnic tables, grills and campfire circles. All group sites have shaded picnic table area. Some individual standard sites have shaded picnic table areas. Each group site is primarily tenting with 10 individual small tent areas/group sites. Vault toilets, trashcans, and drinking water (in the individual camping area) are provided. While Moenkopi Road is paved, the roads throughout the campground are gravel.

## Natural Features

Red Rock Canyon's unique geology with multicolored sandstone atop of gray limestone creates a unique environment with seasonal springs and streams. There are 54 year-round water sources in the Spring Mountains. It's also home to threatened desert tortoise and living cultural reminders of the pioneer past, wild burros and horses. The campground is in a quiet bowl near some of the most popular rock climbing destinations in the country, providing privacy with limited shade under the group picnic pavilion.

More than 60 miles of hiking trails; access to over 2000 documented rock climbing routes; picnic areas; mountain and road biking; horseback riding and scenic byway touring are also popular and available nearby.

## Charges & Cancellations

Cancellations*: *cancellation becomes a "late cancellation" at 12:01 am EST on the day before arrival. • $10.00 fee if reservation is changed/cancelled earlier than the day before arrival. • $10.00 plus first night's camping fee is charged if reservation is cancelled the day before or the day of the arrival, except when the reservation is only for 1 night (in which case only the first night's camping fee is charged). No Shows: customer does not arrive and/or does not cancel reservation by check out time (11 :00am) the day after the scheduled arrival date. $20.00 service fee charged and forfeit the first night's user fee • If requested before the late cancellation window: NRRS will handle • If requested during the late cancellation window (day before arrival, or day of arrival): Customer will be charged first night's use fee, and refunded rest • If requested after arrival, during or after departure from site: recreation.gov processes and field office has to approve

Jean Dry Lake provides hundreds of miles of trails to the casual and expert Off-highway vehicle enthusiast alike. At the center of the area is the area's namesake, Jean Dry Lake. Although the name implies that the lakebed is dry, it has the potential of flooding and holding water long after a rainfall. After substantial precipitation events, the lakebed can hold several inches to several feet of water. Travel on the lakebed after a precipitation events is not recommended. Outside of the dry lakebed, motorized vehicle use is limited to existing roads and trails.

A large part of the Spring Mountains is remote and undeveloped. Visitors can venture out and set up camp in these remote areas with just a little planning from the guidelines below

The best known areas in the Spring Mountains include Mack's Canyon, Champion Road, and Lovell Canyon but those can get crowded in warm weather. Dispersed camping is NOT allowed in the vicinity of developed recreation areas such as campgrounds, picnic areas, or trailheads. Many people drive or hike out on Forest Service roads into the woods and find a clearing or a spot with a nice view or good shade. Do not drive on meadows to access your camping site. Drive on existing roads to prevent resource damage. Dispersed camping is allowed outside a one-mile perimeter away from campgrounds and 100 feet from any stream or spring. To prevent resource damage please keep your campsite within 150 feet from a roadway.

How to Pick a Campsite
If you are going to an area where others have camped before, pick a site that has been used before. Plants, soil and wildlife are impacted by new campsites so using existing ones will minimize your impact in the forest. If there is no existing campsite, then follow these Leave No Trace guidelines.
- Camp on bare soil if possible, to avoid damage or killing plants and grass.
Do NOT camp within 100 feet of any water source, as plants near water are especially fragile.
- Do not camp in the middle of a clearing or meadow; try to make your campsite less visible so that other visitors will see a "wild" setting
- Do not try to level or dig trenches in the ground at your campsite. Pick a tent site that is already level with good drainage.

Going to the Bathroom in the Woods
Dispersed camping means no bathrooms and no outhouses. That means extra care has to be taken in disposing of human waste. To dispose of feces, dig a hole six (6) inches deep at least 100 feet away from any water source. When you are done, fill the hole with the dirt you dug up and take your toilet paper with you to dispose of in a proper waste container. A ziplock bag is helpful for this. Never defecate or leave toilet paper on top of the ground since it could easily get into the local water source and contaminate it.

Treating Your Water
We used to be able to take a cup and drink directly out of the sparkling creek, a rushing waterfall, or a clear, deep lake. There is NO safe water source anymore. With an increasing population and visitation to the Spring Mountains, water sources have been contaminated with invisible micro-organisms that can make people very ill and even kill them in some cases. Giardia is a common contamination that has been spread through improper toileting and wild animals to many water sources. It will cause diarrhea, cramping, and other physical problems.
The only way to ensure that water from any undeveloped source is safe is to treat it. That means heating it until it comes to a rolling boil, using water purification tablets or a water purification filter. Water from faucets in developed recreation areas has been tested and treated and is safe to use without treating.

Lovell Canyon Dispersed Camping (Spring Mountain)

Leave the glitz and glam of the Las Vegas Strip behind and come camping in Nevada. For some of the best camping in Nevada, head to Pyramid Lake. Located just 40 miles outside of Reno, the lake offers a variety of camping and recreation options. Keep in mind that the lake is located on the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe's Reservation. In order to camp here, you’ll need to obtain a permit first. Enjoy dispersed camping along the water’s edge. Don’t forget to bring your boat, SUP or kayak and cool off in the lake, be sure to check out the Pyramid Rock island and see how this awesome spot got its name.


The Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada’s largest state park, contains over 40,000 acres of stunning red rock formations peppered with ancient ruins and native artifacts left behind by the Ancient Puebloan People. Admire petroglyphs, climb the red rocks and uncover another world in this Mars-like landscape. Due to the sweltering summer temps, the Valley of Fire State Park offers perfect place for winter camping in Nevada.


Looking to climb a mountain? Consider hiking to the top of Mount Rose in the Lake Tahoe Basin. Although this area is quite popular and crowded during the summer months, it’s well-worth a trip to this sapphire, high-alpine oasis. Various camping options are available.


Located just outside of Las Vegas, Lake Mead is one of Nevada’s premier outdoor recreation areas. If you’re tired of the crowds, consider hiking up Black Mountain. This lesser-known trail can be done in a day and there is plenty of camping at nearby Lake Mead.


If you’re a national park lover, you’ve got to check out the quiet scenery at the Great Basin National Park. Dramatic mountain ridges meet sagebrush valleys at this little-visited park. Plenty of wildlife and excellent camp spots await you. With so many lakes, deserts and mountains, there are endless possibilities for Nevada camping.
