Boulder Beach Camp Grounds

Within Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Boulder Beach Camp Grounds operates as an established National Park Service campground that draws campers seeking lake access without full hookups. The campground sits adjacent to a private RV resort, creating a contrast between developed and more rustic camping styles.

Sites feature concrete pads that accommodate RVs up to moderate sizes, with each spot including a picnic table and fire ring. Some sites include gazebos for additional shade. The layout uses numbered markers between campsites, though several campers note the numbering system can be confusing during arrival. Blue-marked potable water faucets appear throughout the campground, and a dump station serves RV users. Generator use is permitted during designated hours.

Lake Mead sits roughly a quarter-mile walk from most campsites, with some sites positioned closer to the water. Wildlife sightings include roadrunners, quail, and various bird species, while coyotes vocalize during nighttime hours. Restroom facilities maintain running water and receive regular cleaning. Mark M. notes the campground remains "peaceful despite being full."

Reservations through Recreation.gov are required for stays. For campers wanting full hookups, Lake Mead RV Village at Boulder Beach provides electric and sewer connections nearby.

Nice stop

A very pleasant campground. Even on the weekend, campers were very respectful of their noise level. Check in was easy, bathrooms were clean and campsites are good sized with privacy. It’s great if you are a water recreation person.

Beautiful Boulder Beach

Great campground. Super clean, bathrooms with running water. No hookups for RV, but plenty of space for our 23 foot rig and SUV. Picnic table and fire ring as amenities. Right next to RV park. Amazing views. Need a reservation via recreation.gov.

Nice Nat'l Park Service Campground on Lake Mead

NPS campground sits next door to another large, pvt. resort campground; great price with NPS pass. No electric, but there is dump station, & there are blue-marked (potable) water faucets at numerous places in campground (we filled up before we left), Spaces were marked but it was difficult to tell which space had which number as the numbers were located between camp spots. Possibly because of this, someone was in our spot when we got there but it took us a half hour to figure out which spot was which. This was also during the gov't shutdown so there were no staff consistently on-site. The situation was resolved amicably. Despite the shutdown, bathrooms were stocked and clean. Great views in some places of Lake Mead (about a 1/4 mile walk from our campsite [81] which was located closer to lake. Peaceful despite being full.

Also heard pack of coyotes laughin' it up intermittently throughout the night…kinda cool :)

Starter to my camping life

I stayed the max time on and off. 30 days. This is where it all started. In that time I have toned my camping skills.

Bathrooms where good to do your morning necessaries. Views of the lake, roadrunners, quails and a bird I don't know.

I wish more people "packed out what they packed in" but what ever.

Boulder Beach Campgrounds

We love it here! Some sites have a gazebo. Handicapped sites are available, all sites have a picnic table, firepit, accessible well water, clean restrooms and concrete pads to park rv's.

Nice Campground

We stayed here back in November 2021 and really enjoyed this campground.  It was clean and well kept.  The sites were paved and level.  No electric at site but a dump station and fresh water was available and use of generators was allowed
