"Loved being able to set up our Napier Sportz tent with our Subaru at the river's edge on the Colorado River just outside of Bullhead City, Az. (across from Laughlin, NV). Casino entertainment within walking distance: The Riverside Casino and RV Park provides easy access to gaming. "The KOA campground is right next to the AVI Casino. Looks like a great place to stay if you don't want to pay casino room prices, but have all the convinces of staying at AVI," notes Sandy S. The casino shuttle is also "only a phone call away and very quick to respond."
Swimming in Lake Mohave: Lake Mohave - Nevada Telephone Cove offers free water access. "Shallow water is great for kids and dogs," says Kiersten M. The no-wake zone creates safe swimming conditions even during busy periods. The cove is approximately 15-20 minutes from Laughlin.

Waterfront camping views: Campers appreciate the direct water access at camping spots near Laughlin, Nevada. "Davis camp has nice open areas to run and play in though there are not great playgrounds. The sites are mostly level but could use some maintaining," according to Lane H.

Limited water availability: At some campgrounds, water access may be restricted. At Davis Camp Park, Colette K. notes that "none of the water spigots were turned on! We inquired at the office, and they stated it was due to 'abuse.' They suggested we fill our containers for 25¢ per gallon, near their laundromat."
Road conditions to dispersed sites: The dirt road to Lake Mohave - Nevada Telephone Cove is "about 4 miles long from the highway but pretty well graded and easy to drive, big rig friendly," according to Josh F. However, Mike M. cautions that "there are a couple of washes that could cause trouble for longer trailers with low clearance."
Wildlife encounters: Expect to see wildlife in camping areas near Laughlin. Dave E. mentions that "Late night the donkeys walk through the park" at Davis Camp. Proper food storage is essential as raccoons and skunks are common near the water and developed areas.

Swimming options for kids: Katherine Landing North Campground offers family-friendly water access. Greg L. notes it has "tables, trash, water spigots, flush toilets, shower house and small laundry room. Marina is close by and there are some hiking trails around down by lake."
Kid-friendly entertainment: At Laughlin Avi KOA, Matt I. shares that "all the parents decided drop off all kids at the kids care play center where you can leave your kid in there till 2am." He adds, "The kids loved it, it was a bit of a lord of the flies situation in the kids center that late at night but they were safe and had a blast."
Fireworks awareness: If staying near the casinos, be prepared for nighttime fireworks. Robin F. mentions "Fireworks almost every night" at Journey KOA, and Matt I. notes at Avi KOA that "people set them off late into the night."
