Great park while visiting the area

A very busy and crowded park with lots of road noise. That said, the beach is great and it’s close to all the area has to offer. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained, even on a busy July weekend. Not the place to go if you want peace and quiet, but it worked well as our basecamp for visiting…

Worth a visit.

This is a very pretty and well maintained family oriented State Park Campground that's situated on the southern shores of Lake Otsego. About 10 minutes from Gaylord. The lake has that touristy up north lake vibe. Campground is heavily used Memorial day through Labor day. No issues getting a…

Relaxing

40 first come first serve rustic sites. No problem getting smaller trailers back there. None of the sites are located on the water. Lake is small but beautiful. Great for swimming and kayaking.

Great Campground!

Really enjoyed Fisherman’s Island on the shores of Lake Michigan! We were in site 2 and it was very spacious and flat, with a fire pit and picnic table. Mature trees surrounded the whole site, which really gave it a woodsy feel. Site 2 was directly across from a water station and just a few hundred…

Would never visit again

First off we couldn’t park our trailer until a boat trailer was moved from our site. Then there was glass, rusty nails, and trash all over the site so we had to do a quick clean up of site before unpacking. It only got worse as night time came as the campers next to us drank and partied all night…

Needs improvements

First let me start with saying it was ok for what we needed the campground for. We stayed 4 days in total, 3 of the 4 days we were elsewhere. Site 25 was a large site that fit my 36’ TT and my brother-in-laws very large tent on with plenty of room (very deep site). Campground allows for multiple…

Big rig summer community

If you have a big Class A RV and need a full hook up and a pool, this place will work. We paid $165 a night and were surprised that it was just a gated community for RVs with a pool. Lots of the amenities were broken or not available (hot tub jets broken, no hot water for showers, movie room…

Love Mack Lake

Great campground with great campground hosts. Large sites some with water views. Beach area. Clean pit toilets and water. Campground hosts had wood available when we were there.

Great State Forest campground

One of my and my husband's favorite campgrounds. Not far from home. Water sites or wooded sites. Good size sites.

Busy, Crowded Campground

Full transparency—we did not stay at this campground but only drove through it as research for future trips. What we saw on a sunny Saturday in July did not tempt us to return. This is a large state park on a beautiful inland lake. There are several camping areas within the campground, and they…
