Not an RV Park

This place is not an RV park. This is only a parking place behind buildings just off the main road. Yes they do have hook ups but this is not the nicest area and you are sharing a pool with the Budget Inn hotel guest. There are only a few spots to park. Yea you are close to a few restaurants but…

Very quiet camping

One side of the campground is back open and looking great! Campground is very clean and quiet with drinking water and vault toilets. Most of the sites have stairs from parking spot to camp area. Sites are spaced out pretty nicely to give some privacy. You can still walk across the bridge to get to…

Nice campground ( as long as you don’t need tv or much mobile)

Definitely needed WeBoost to make data functional. Verizon worked best of my carriers. Visible had zut coverage. ATT and Cricket were usable with WeBoost. Stayed on B-loop - really steep road. Limited TV coverage. Lovely foresty sites, pretty level. Elec & water. Bathroom excellent, very clean.…

Nice family run campground!

Nice campground surrounded by forest. They have a pond for fishing and another pond for swimming with nice Sandy beach. They also put out bouncy houses for the kids at no extra cost. You can rent golf carts which is helpful since the campground is fairly large, the front and back sites are…

Great Family Camground in the Mountains of E. KY

This has ranked #1 for campgrounds for our family this season.

Nestled in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, this campground has all the things your family could want to do in nature.

Check in was super easy and the staff was great.

The site was very easy to get to.

We were on site 13 and…

Nice place, a little loud right now.

This is great for a night or two, we have used it as a base camp for property search. For this ise it has been great. The sites are a good size with picnic tables at each site. The only problem right now is construction going on behind it, they are clearing out land to build something and they…

Nice place for a stop while passing through

Enjoyed this campground as a quick one night stop during the winter.   I think it could seem crowded in the peak season when it is full.

Decent WIFI which was a big plus and, while we stayed in a full hook up site, the dump station was well positioned and easy to navigate.

The playground, mini…

Great place to camp

Drive in camper spots, drive up to tent spots. Two ponds. Close to laurel lake. Gated and safe. Store for all your needs.

Beautiful Setting

I camp here annually with my cousin. It’s a great campground if you don’t mind being in a more crowded setting. Aka less remote! Opt for the campgrounds towards the back for a little more privacy and immediate access to the nearby creek. Granted walking to the restroom is a little further. Fills up…

Pipes froze over, no running water

Camped for a few days in late March for a climbing trip (no fires at Miguels). It snowed the pipes froze over so none of the facilities were working. I'm sure it's super nice in the summer.

Hanson’s Point

Hanson’s point at the red river gorge is often called the best view of the Gorge. To get to Hanson’s point you’ll have to earn it by hiking for about 2.5 miles, but trust me when I say it’s worth it. The campsites at Hanson’s Point are primitive campsites, so make sure you bring EVERYTHING you need…
