Did some car camping here in March and it was already hot and full of mosquitos. The sites are huge and far from each other. Big dock with heavy day (and evening and early morning) use from serious fisherman.
Only 1 other site was occupied.
Visited new years eve weekend and the campground was relatively quiet. The vault toilet was well stocked with toilet paper and kept clean, but there was some trash around the campground. The dock on the lake is nice and there were several people fishing. Good location for hunting the surrounding WMAs. The 3 star review is primarily due to the camping spots marked in cross ties are narrow and some spots are difficult to get a larger camper in. I would visit again.
What an awesome surprise! COE campground on a dead end road (ends at the boat ramp) with water and power. Dump is just up the road on your way out of the park and super easy to get to. Level sites, nicely spaced and mostly shaded. I bet it’s even more beautiful in the spring and fall. Picnic table, fire pit, grill and a fish station at all sites. Walking distance to boat ramp and lake access. Pet friendly. Road in was paved and well maintained. First come first served and although there is a camp host on site there is no way to call to check availability. $20/night ($10/night senior citizen or Access Pass).
A perfect spot for our first adventure! Site was level and spotless. We chose one based on the maps/pics and it did not disappoint. Ours had a deck instead of the gravel picnic area and it was perfect! Fire pit, clean grill, solid picnic table all included. NBC and CBS for sports via the antenna. Bathrooms were pristine! Gorgeous views of the lake and late fall foliage. Hosts were great and offered help with anything we were unsure of. Definitely a winner!
Wonderful campground! The waterfront sites are pullthroughs on a halfmoon loop. The sites are level gravel pads with a walkway that leads to a raised gravel sitting area for each site. The sitting area has a firepit and a picnic table. The sites are very well spaced and the park is quiet. You see a boat launch and swimming area across the lake. There is water and electric hookups and a dump station. We saw a bath house and several shelter areas. The camp hosts are super-friendly and even delivered wood to our campsite. We are looking forward to visiting again!
This RV park is right off I-10 making it great for overnighters. All the sites are pull-through making late arrival less stressful. All sites have full hookups and there is wifi (much better the closer you are to the office). The park has a nice vib with mossy trees and well manicured grass. The sites are well packed crushed asphalt. Due to COVID-19 all contact with the staff was by phone but they were very polite and helpful. She even called me back to confirm the reservation after running my credit card. The only complaint is minor…traffic noise due to the close proximity to I-10. This is easly solved by leaving the HVAC fan on to mask the noise. We have stayed here twice and will definitely use this park when the need arises in the future.
We stayed here for one night. Was fine for limited stay. Super clean. Sites all gravel and utilities nicely set up. Was about double the nightly rate ($90!!!!!) due to a FSU football game over the weekend but the place was only about 25% of capacity. Maybe because of crazy mark up policy. Lots of really nice county campgrounds nearby but they have a 48 hour advanced booking and this was a last minute trip. County park was $27. Not so crazy about the maintenance guy blowing leave at 8am on a Sunday by our site.
