Super nice showers

The bathrooms were pretty amazing compared to the last campground we were at which was also on alatoona lake as well. ( McKinney camp ground ) The first night we got here it was packed, like crazy packed with tent campers .. Soo it was stressful trying to park a travel trailer when surrounded by tents so close, i was tempted to just cancel my reservation and leave.. but once we got in .. the next day the tent campers left and I got to see how nice it actually is here! plenty of space for the kids to play and just walk right into the water . The water wasn’t working when we got here , the spout was broken but they quickly l sent a maintenance man here and fixed it which was great, and he was also super friendly. I love having a little general store on the grounds., they don’t have Much in there, but they have essentials .. ice , drinks , a little camping gear .. a few snacks. Play ground is great .. I haven’t used the beach but looking at it - it’s pretty big and nice. The campground it’s self is pretty small , which isn’t a bad thing. There’s tons of duck and geese that just walk right into your site .. which is really entertaining for children . I would definitely stay here again!

Good sized lots, not level.

The lot size is quite large for the full hookup sites. Bring extra leveling blocks! There aren't a lot of full hook sites however. They closed the pool early without prior notice both days we were there (the posted hours were 10a to 10p), the rec hall was locked (unsure if it was closed or required office unlock - no notices posted). We were going to do laundry here, but it was attached to the bathhouse and smelled very strongly of urine. Staff was friendly.

Really nice place on the lake

Just stopped in for the night but they had a spot for us and they were very kind people. Little tight getting in and you really need to pay attention to the map. It’s a little confusing but we watched the site numbers and figured that out. They have a nice convenience store at check in. We did use the restrooms or showers but I hear they’re nice. The lake is beautiful. It’s quiet other than the occasional train whistles. The WiFi is pretty much non existent so don’t plan on that. Even with a booster we couldn’t pick it up. There is a small town close by with some great restaurants. Henry’s Louisiana grill is excellent.

Allatoona Landing Campground

We stayed at site #23 for 3nights. Notice - the campground entrance is located between 2 railroad crossings and each have low ground clearance and located in turns (the turns seemed to help a bit rather than a straight on approach) - also the trains run pretty close by the campground roughly on the hour. Most sites don’t have sewer hookup but there is a dump station and randomly placed gray water dumps which aren’t really accessible while parked unless you have a 50’+ hose (??) There are lots of amenities here in clouding a like new playground and “rec hall”, however one of the main reasons we chose this was for what seemed like a great beach access. Unfortunately it looks like it hasn’t been maintained in a good 5-10yrs. They claim free WiFi but none available. Free cable with 70 channels luckily. Overall not a bad campground with friendly and helpful staff and we will likely revisit if we can grab a site with sewer hookup.

Nice but Close

The campground is nice and well kept; however, the sites are a little too close together.

Nice but busy!

Nice facilities, clean and well laid out. Very crowded right now due to people looking to get outdoors during this crisis. Family friendly with a ton of kids running around so maybe not the best place for a quiet getaway. We bought a Forest River No Boundaries 10.6 today and wanted to give it the inaugural run and this spot was about the only available one near Atlanta, so here we are!
