Top tier site

4x4 recommended, I managed to get in to a deeper site with my Prius though. Bugs not bad, creek water tastes great (with filter). Some of the best views I’ve seen in CO. 20 minutes from Crested Butte. Very quiet and serene. 10/10 go here!

Secluded little campground

The Reudi reservoir is a beautiful area. Sunsets are gorgeous and there is a nice hike outside of one of the other two campgrounds in the area. I feel this little campground is the most secluded of the 4 in the area. However, not all sites offer reservoir views. Reservoir is very low this year.…

Quiet, cows, and cowboys

The campground is about 15 miles from the town of Paonia. We stayed three nights and only had one other camper in the campground. The ranch above us was moving cattle higher for the summer. As we were leaving the campground, we realized several of the cows had walked through our campsite to drink…

Wonderful campground around lake

Very peaceful location with lake, mountains and stream. Even when full it isn’t overrun. Lake is great for kayaks, SUPs and stocked for fishing. Very popular and fills quickly - a handful of sites are first come first serve. Used cell booster to get decent signal

White Star campground is incredible

This campground is stunning. The individual camping areas are nice large spots, so you don’t feel close to you neighbors. Gorgeous views of Mt Elbert and surrounding 14ers. Lake is close for some nice easy fishing. They usually have water available as well as a dump station but they were closed for…

Would’ve loved to camp here but road was closed

Went here during a time we thought the road would be open for the season (says it’s closed June 15-Aug 15) but got to the end of the road only to see it closed. We have a camper so there was clearly no way we could make it. If you were tent camping you could probably go past the gate and park your…

Free til season

Beautiful views of Mt Elbert. Large lot that could fit ANY rv. Amazing tent sights. Vault toilets are shared with boaters that have an adjacent parking lot. Super close to Colorado trail.

Loved it - dry camping (no water)

We really enjoyed this spot by the river. It’s alittle out of town and quiet. I’d definitely not follow google if you have a big rig as you will go through some tunnels to get to the Site and if you have a big rig you may not fit The site is dry- no water and no electric and no dumpster for trash…

Beautiful BLM land

Awesome location, beautiful views of the collegiate peaks and about 20 minutes away from Salida. There are lot of spots in this area (some side roads lead you to 360 views). The cows stroll through the fields every now and then too. Some trash and broken glass in places, but overall not too bad. On…

Great weekend at O’Haver Lake

Had a great time at this campground. The camp host were friendly and helpful. The water was perfect for paddle boarding and fishing was incredible. Didn’t want to post review because want to keep it secret.  Guess the word is out.

Homesteak BLM a diamond in the rough

This dispersed camping area boasts a trout stream that borders several of the camp sites I observed several trout in the shallows. The sites are private and a good distance between each site. It has been rumored that the Nomads have stayed the hot summer months at Homesteak. The town of Leadville…

Homesteak BLM camping is the greatest

I camped in this dispursed BLM area in September 2019. This is remote camping, pack it in pack it out. The area is very beautiful at around 8 or 9000 ft. elevation nice and cool in the hot summer months. A trout stream runs by several of the camp sites. Very peaceful relaxing place. Near the town…
