Very nice setting, clean and quiet

Great campground very close to downtown telluride but has lots of trees so you don’t know it’s there. Clean bathrooms, clean grounds and large sites. Very dog friendly.

Quiet campground close to town

Great 12 day stay July 2021. Camp host is pleasant & does a great job. He makes rounds often, grounds & campsites are well maintained, restrooms are clean. Tho the road to Beaver Reservoir is close by, it is a quiet campground even during the day and pretty much dead silence at night. …

Wide Open

The scenery was beautiful. That said it is wide open so you can't help but see all of your neighbors. I camped there in early June and it was one of the coldest nights of camping I can remember.

Great views

About 5 minutes outside of Telluride and Mountain Valley is this basic campground with amazing views of the mountains. Choose carefully because not every site has views. The best part of this campground is it’s location- only 15 minutes down the mountain to Telluride and all it has to offer.…

Dispersed up on the pass

When you first pull in you will see several dispersed sites up and to your right. These are nice, but they fill up quickly. Instead, take a left onto Galloping Goose Trailhead road and pick one of the sites that back up to trees and have gray Mountain View’s. Be careful though as further down the…

Dispersed with a toilet

Large dispersed camping area with vault toilets. Lots of fire rings scattered around the rocky area. This site can get very full and very loud as it is very popular and close to Silverton. This campground can get very dusty as it is next to the forest road. It can also get loud in the day and early…

Downtown Telluride camping

The campground is bordered on one side by the San Juan River and by the park on the other side, making a tight but nice campground. There are some walk in tent sites, but most sites are large enough to accommodate small rvs. Showers are by token only, available on the back side of the bathhouse.…

Cows but still AWESOME!

Pulled the teardrop into a site almost all the way down the road (a spot at very end was already taken).  Tons of privacy though we are right on the road so the little bit of traffic that did drive past - folks camping nearby or looking to boondock - we'd wave and say hi.  Biggest surprise was all…

Pricey for what you get

This developed campground seemed to be pretty expensive for not so great a location. It is right on the main highway and very loud. Sites with electric are the best sites as they are close to the creek. Tent only sites are on the upper terrace. While it was clean, the people friendly, and laid out…

Well kept, nice views

Stayed in an RV site for two nights. Everything was in order and clean. The showers near the marina are not good and we didn’t use them. The on-site marina was great and the camp host was friendly and helpful.

Excellent facilities and gracious owners

We had a fabulous time camping at Sapinero Village. From the moment we stepped into the lodge to check in, we were greeted with the bright smiles of the owners. They escorted us to our site to ensure it was to our liking- wow! What a view of Blue Mesa. The hookups worked great, and the bathhouse…
