Fun little spot. Paddle boats and nice camp spots with nice shade. River access is a nice perk.
Arrived late. Still had a friendly escort and walked around the beautiful park before sunset.
Try to nab a site on the river. The beautiful San Juan River will be just a few steps outside your door. Nice walking paths, a small pond for paddle boating or fishing, clean restrooms, and 24 hr. laundry make this an above average park.
On a small lake (pond) and right on the San Jose River. All the amenities you need. My tent set up was 1 foot from the water. Great fishing for trout and bass. Highly recommend!!

A small cabin with 2 bunk beds, two burner propane stove a few propane lights, an outhouse and plenty of firewood for the fireplace! Also has an outdoor fire pit and good views.
This is a beautiful part of the state. Not to hot, as it is above 7000 feet elevation. Trails, lake, boating, and wildlife watching.
Great 12 day stay July 2021. Camp host is pleasant & does a great job. He makes rounds often, grounds & campsites are well maintained, restrooms are clean. Tho the road to Beaver Reservoir is close by, it is a quiet campground even during the day and pretty much dead silence at night. …
Set your expectations to an asphalt parking lot with spaces marked off for campers/rv/tents. If you can pull in facing the lake it's a fabulous view!! We stayed 4 nights Latter July the nights were cool with lows of 49- 55. We will be back for a few days now and then!
Pulled the teardrop into a site almost all the way down the road (a spot at very end was already taken). Tons of privacy though we are right on the road so the little bit of traffic that did drive past - folks camping nearby or looking to boondock - we'd wave and say hi. Biggest surprise was all…
Great people running the place with everything you’d need on site.
Bathrooms and SHOWERS AND LAUNDRY were all appreciated and good. There is a river you can get in a swim , camp sites are close together , limited views but better than nothing. If you want water views get a site in the site number of 80s not 50s
There are three group campsites in this area. They are spread out enough that you still have privacy. The largest site has electric access in the parking lot area. The other two sites are dry camping but you are able to pull your rv to the site. We have two 5th wheels 33 and 36 foot and were easily…
Haviland Lake Campground is not closed.
It's a great NFS CG and has both dry camping and sites with electric only. Water is available at the CG and there are the new modern pit toilets (the good kind). Power is 30/50 amp and there is cell service in the campground. Fill up with water before…
Great camp spots at end of the road. No signals= heaven!
Great place to stay and visit the area, unfortunately today we have to keep moving. We will come back one day. No online reservations available but give a call the family who owns the campground is very friendly and helpful.
