Beautiful, with options

Not a ton of dispersed campsites but the one at the corral is super great! Huge area. Plenty of hiking, and somewhat near to the creek. Which is pretty big!

There is a vault toilet at the trailhead

Great tent spots on grass

We motorcycle camp and use tents every night. We've been to this campground several times because it is so perfect for us. They are open late until 8pm. Besides full hook up sites, they have a large grass area that is lush and flat. It's perfect to pitch a tent or of dust, mud or rocks. Their…

Clean and Spacious

My fiancé and I have been traveling and camping in our truck, we just needed a place to stay for the night, we called ahead early in the day and they were very accommodating! Friendly staff! The bathrooms were very clean, it’s quiet and the campgrounds are shaded! Service was great for me…

Great Family Spot

I have not been camping here in years until recently. As a kid my whole family (grandparents, aunt and uncles, and cousins would all go here for a week at a time. I recently took my family for an overnight on our way up into the mountains for in the woods camping. They loved it and it was just as I…

Large party Group

The area is small but there a few ponds I wouldn’t call them lakes full of trout. Lots of trash in the area looks like a trailer park where you could but meth wish the state would in force laws up in this parts The roads around and leading to are washboard and washed out in places from the rain

Last Minute Laborday Stay

Called on a Friday afternoon. Labor Day weekend for a 1 night stay. She had 1 site left and took my name. Site was level clean gravel. She also walked out to site to make sure we understood hookups. Friendly and helpful. Site was quiet. We would stay there any time we’re in the area. Was $30. Full…

Beautiful Scenery but at a Slope

A long dirt road takes you winding up switchbacks into a beautiful mountain scenery. I managed to get through alright in a newer model Honda Civic Sport, but wouldn't suggest it if there was any snow on the ground.

In some of the pull offs into the designated sites you may or will need a 4x4 to…

Awesome campground

About a 5 mile backpack trail that leads you to the hot springs. They can be hard to find but it’s along side of the creek with rocks stacked around to make a pool which is the springs. The hikes through some burnt forest but is still gorgeous nonetheless. There’s a few spots at the springs to…

Nice campground with lots of amenities

This was my first time staying at a more RV focused campground and I really liked it. Since we've started working full time from our van I wanted to make sure we had internet and electricity and camping here really gave me peace of mind as we worked for the week. We really have everything we need…

Privacy

Sits along creek/ small river. No cell service. There is water and the host sells firewood. No used much and that is probably because there are 3 superior USFS campgrounds up the road. I did like the privacy and spacing which was excellent.

Campsite with a view

To be clear, there is no dump site for RVs, no market, no water hookup (water dispensing). It’s the view and yes, there are probably 5 primo spots and we did not get one but I still have a view of the incredible mountains. But after 1 night, someone cleared out of best spot and we reserved it right…

Great spot right on the river

Spent two nights here in August.  There were 4-5 spots in this area, which is right on the San Juan River.  I was here on a Sunday night / Monday night and it was not crowded.  There were a couple of other folks who were there.  There are a couple of trailheads (about 1/2 mile up the road).  I took…

Spectacular Views

Getting a site with a view is key to this campground. There are a few great spots but there is no tree cover for these sites and the late morning through early evening can be hot if you do not have a canopy. The lake is not swimmable but you can kayak/canoe etc. Bathrooms are clean. There is…
