Juniper Breaks was Great!

This campground was great! Easy to get to with gas stations and shops about 15 min away so you can pick stuff up if needed. The spots are well spaced so you don’t feel on top of your neighbors. Bathrooms are not far from any spot. Tons of trails to the water lots of places to explore.

Our one…

Very nice campground

We stayed for one night in early October, at site 159. Level parking, and although we were somewhat close to our nearest neighbor to the east, it seemed like most sites offered privacy. As other have said, most if not all sites have covered picnic tables which are certainly nice in the Colorado…

Great campsite

It was a great campsite, have to use fire pits provided. Alcohol is allowed pets are allowed on leash. And most camp sites are within walking distance to the water. Kids loved it! It was cheap to reserve a site ($20+) and entry fee is like $8.

Underrated Family Fun

  • Our whole family enjoying our spot (Grandma & Grandpa we’re just visiting for the day)
  • Oh hello thunderstorm
  • The covered picnic table is a game changer. Kept us relatively dry during a bad storm so we could keep cooking dinner

Great but $$

This is a great smaller campground in the Lake Pueblo State Park. Lots of juniper trees and a natural like setting around the sites. Didnt seem to have as many camp sites either, which is nice for some of us folks. Dont think there was water in any sites, and there was no water in the bathrooms and…

A lovely first-time camping experience

This was the first place my husband and I (and our dog!) went camping in our adult lives. We decided to try a site that we could reserve first before diving into dispersed camping, and since we'd been hiking here the week prior, we thought we'd give it a shot. Reserving our spot online was super…
