Dated, but very nice

Tent camped here at campsite 8 for five nights. Very nice tents sites but after traveling the country I felt it sucked because showers were $5 for a four minute shower and the toilets were basically glorified holes in the ground. Beautiful sights everywhere. Not far from Silverton and the OHV…

DUST STORM! still awesome spot

4 min drive from park entrance! after visiting the park this was a awesome place to camp for the night! It was a bumpy drive in but not bad, lots of obvious dispersed sites where people have camped. Nice and open beautiful place to look at the stars I’m sure if there wasn’t a dust storm!! As soon…

Group campsite

There are three group campsites in this area. They are spread out enough that you still have privacy. The largest site has electric access in the parking lot area. The other two sites are dry camping but you are able to pull your rv to the site. We have two 5th wheels 33 and 36 foot and were easily…

Piece

This campground is amazing! Not only do you have an excellent view no matter which way you turn, you also have a quiet pieceful place to unwind. We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it! The hosts were so friendly and zen! You won’t get cell/internet service here…a major plus for us at the…

Gateway to the Wenenuche Wilderness--end of the road; beginning of trail.

Reservations are necessary here and there is a camping fee, but there are no hookups and no dumping station.

We were not able to get into the campsite I had reserved months ahead of time. Our 34' Fifth Wheel and long bed Silverado made that completely impossible. However, the friendly host, Al,…

A great creekside campground

Campground full just ahead of the July 4 weekend, 2021. We were able to get a site right on Mineral Creek, and found ourselves within a great community of people, many of them "Jeep" owners who make the mountain roads nearly every day.

Close to the town of Silverton. No hookups but free…

Great Campground

Quiet location a short drive outside of Delores. Staff was super friendly and attentive. All facilities are immaculately maintained. Large common room for playing games or socializing if the weather gets bad. Right on the river with a small ”beach” that the kids can play at. Special events are held…

Great park

Silverton Lakes might be the best option in Silverton. Most sites are spacious. The majority of campers here were off-roading, either with Jeeps or SxS. Close enough to town, and lots of mining history nearby.

Does not want to work with you

We booked a year in advance for a 50 amp site and when we got here we were in a 30 amp and asked to be changed. They are unfriendly and their camp staff uses the personal washers when they have their own washers/dryers and then are rude when you ask about it. I should have read the reviews before…

Great place to camp and play on the water

We visited this campground often when we lived in the Four Corners. Beautiful setting, cool weather, great water. Highly recommend.

Morehead Campground

Campground was clean. Sites are a mix of shade and privacy, but in general are pretty close to each other. Bathrooms were okay. Lights are on a timer at night. Tent only loop was more crowded than combine tent RV+tent loops. Showers were free at camp store.

Primitive to say the least

This is a single site. First come, first serve. Zero facilities. Bring it in, bring it out. The drive up was dusty, some corrugations on the road. Trees are wonderful for hammocks. There are two more sites past this one, approximately 3 and 4 miles down. No cell service. No 4WD required in the…

1 night in Durango

Small campground, sites are nice but most do not give much privacy, which in this beautiful setting would be nice.
