Nice and private

The spots were excellent. Calm and clean. The bathroom was a disaster. That’s about all I have to say about that.

Very nice campground with full RV hookups

This is a great campground with top notch amenities. We enjoyed the laid back time we spent here looking at Fishers Peak. Nice to be that close to the lake. One thing to keep in mind, from the campsites there isn’t great access to the lake, you’ll need to come in From the East entrance to the park…

Quiet Colorado Rv park

Easy online reservations. Great spot in the middle of a Colorado mountain town. When I arrived I was greeted by the owner who let me pick my spot (due to my original spot having a little mud on it) much appreciated. Was given help backing up and getting to know the layout of the park. All in all a…

A friendly place to stop and recharge

The Raton KOA is conveniently located off I-25 in Raton, NM. The campground offers of a mixture of back-in and pull through sites that are a mix of mostly live gravel and dirt. Most sites have 20/30 amp service, water, and septic hookups, although less expensive sites with fewer amenities are also…

Great Lake and trails

Lake Alice campground is really close to a paved road where people drive too fast and the sites are really close together. They are not actually on Lake Alice. I enjoyed the lake and the hiking but opted out of staying in my reserved site.

Lathrop State Park has a little of everything

We have visited this park several times, in the summer, spring and fall. The campground provides a nice visitors center, two small lakes (one non-wake), a sand beach, paved and unpaved bike trails, fishing, a kids fishing pond, trails, and electric or no-hook-up camping. The campground is divided…

Colorado’s first designated state park!

Fantastic park. One of our absolute favorites. Excellent trails and a ridge to climb, as well as stellar views of the Spanish peaks. Excellent scenic drives are not far away.

Haven in a sea of bad camp grounds.

I read about this camp ground and its owners. I was so taken that I changed my plans and rout from Florida to Alaska just to stay here. I was not disappointed I stayed coming and going to and from Alaska. If I get to travel again I will go out of my way to stay here.

Awesome views

Really nice camp ground, cool play ground for the kids, fire place, picnic table and she'd with great views. Views where great from ever angle. We stayed right after Christmas and the snow was an added bonus. Plus a dish washing sink at the bath house. I thought it was a kool feature.

In a bind, it’ll do

Go in with no expectations. The place is a dirt lot with narrow sites which are extremely uneven. We paid $45 for one night which was a steep price for the condition of the Park. On the plus side they had availability and full hookups with no prior reservation.

Spacious campsites with scenic views

We arrived here on a Friday afternoon during the middle of a small snowstorm that cleared up by the evening to make for a beautifully sunny yet snow-covered campground weekend. The office was practicing safe COVID prevention measures and we were able to check in safely. The view of the lake and…

Views for Miles

We stayed here the first week o f November 2020. Not all sites were open and the park was not crowded at all. The bathrooms were open and the weather was beautiful. The sites are all pull through and private. We had lots of space behind us to stretch out in. A picnic table was also placed in a…

Pros and cons of nature

We didn’t go very far in but the park has some beautiful views, including a lake we could walk to from the campsite. We stayed at the Yucca Campground which was great and the spots were nicely spaced out. It was a little challenging to find a good flat spot to set up our tent and the spot we did…
