Good amenities, could use better maintainence

We enjoyed the amenities that came with our stay. There was a late night check in mishap (no one answered, and we were left wandering around to look for space) they did offer us 1/2 off the first night. The lagoon was fun, and we enjoyed it, could use a lil underside cleaning and inflation…

Neat and Clean Sites

We stayed here for one night on our way South. Sites are very neat and clean. Nice lake with swimming area on property. We had a good stay.

Overnight stay

Was fortunate to get a short notice reservation for an overnight at this KOA. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the pool was a hit with the kids, and there's quick food options just down the road. The campground itself is somewhat hilly with plenty of tree cover, but the lots are gravel and…

Great campsite

Had to call to book a reservations since we wanted to book same day. The woman on the phone was the sweetest person and was so helpful.

Campground is quiet and back off the main road. We did car camping, just FYI.

Will say make sure you download the map before you head in. There isn’t cell…

Avoid This Campground

Rushing Creek is an abandoned site. The road to the area is closed off. The only thing that remains of the campsite is a slab of pavement with grass sprouting from the cracks surrounded by a dense forest. This area is very remote with no cell signal. For your own safety, do not visit or camp at…

An Okay Place to Stay

Mama D's RV Campground is okay place to stay. The campground is crowded and some of the lots have permanent houses. Each lot has access to water and electricity as well as a small campfire. The area is decently maintained. The biggest positive this place has is the convenience store at the…

A Fairly Decent Place to Stay

Mansard has many positives but the big drawback is the scenery. At the time of visiting the area, the grounds were not well maintained. There was tall grass, fallen trees, and uprooted stumps scattered everywhere. There is also the remnants of an empty swimming pool. While the place may not be the…

Only a Place to Launch Your Boat

Gray's Landing has a good view of the lake but it lacks in many other aspects. The site is closed to camping. There is a walking path that use to be accessible to vehicles, but it is cut very short because of a gate that blocks it. The only positives this site has is that it is just off of Highway…

Great Place to Stay by Kentucky Lake

Buchanan Resort is a well maintained resort with access to many amenities like a restaurant, pool, playground, pavilion, and store. The docks are easily accessible being close to the lots. The lots at the resort campground have water and electricity as well as a picnic table and a simple,…

Beautiful and Clean

We stayed in camping spot #11. Although it wasnt very private, and very busy on a Tuesday, it did have a view of the water and was very close to the bathrooms and showers. The facilities were extremely clean and people were friendly. There are flushing toilets, hot showers, and new picnic tables…

So fun! Very family friendly!

We loved our visit to this KOA! Waterpark in the summer, boating activities, lake front sites. Countless activities for the kids and the pools are nice too! We cant wait to go back!

Amazing primitive sites!

We love the primitive sites at Nathan Bedford Forest! Each site is along the River banks, so you get the best views! Fire pits and picnic tables included. The bathhouse is very old though and does not have a shower. That is the only reason I couldn’t give this one 5 stars!

zero maintenance run down smelly

Overwhelming smell of dead fish that are laying aplenty on the shores of Ohio Rv. as there is no staff to clean up. Add to this general malaise of zero maintenance mowing or repairing decrepid sites and you get the picture. Did have 30 amp to drive my AC that covered the sound of the work crew…

Bring your own TP

We stopped in for one night and stayed at a “primitive site” who needs power hookups. The losers bathroom is .6 miles at the peer store which closes at 7 PM. The next closest is 1 mile away in biker country if you so choose to go there. MY wife and I have no issue going in the woods but there are…
