Best Campgrounds in Nevada

We stayed at The Wild Mustang in our van and had such a great experience. After checking in with the host, we got permission to pull our van over the berm and onto the property—and it was perfect. It had amazing views and total privacy. You really feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, in the best way.

The host was kind and responsive. The sunsets were gorgeous, and at night the stars lit up the sky—some of the clearest you will ever see. There’s a really peaceful, raw desert vibe here that made it easy to just slow down, unplug, and relax.

It’s easy to get to, but still feels remote once you're there. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Right off Hwy, but very little traffic noise. Great View!

It is really next to the Strip, all Spots are Full Hookup, to enter the RV Park at First you need to Call the Frontdesk, there is a Phone next to Gate which connects you to the Front Desk. There is no Laundrymachine in the RV Park, even though it is written on their website. They have an external Laundryservict the hotel Circus Circus, they couldnt tell me what the costs are for the laundry. And there is no Wifi available in the RV Park.

I’m so happy I found this little gem. It doesn’t have a lot of spots but the spots are spaced out along the creek and it’s so pretty.

Some rough road getting in and to some of the spots, but popular area with lots of fairly flat spots and fire rings.

Great views, directions led me directly to the spot. Saw one car drive by the Main road during my stay. Very windy, recommend car camping.

Went to set up camp on a saturday around 10am. It was packed! Day goers were gone by around 5pm. It was nice and peaceful, super pretty views. At night the stars are clearly visible. We had a wind storm during our stay so it was cold and windy. Make sure to bring some warm blankets as it can get cold at night into the early morning.

Nice paved RV Park away from the bustle of the casino but close enough to walk over for a meal. They are remodeling the hotel but we can’t hear anything inside our RV. The laundry room is decent size with 8 washers and 8 dryers, everything is in working order. The bathrooms are clean with 4 showers, 4 toilets, and 4 sinks, all clean and tidy. There is a tree between each camp site but they appear to be trimmed up enough for taller RV’s to still fit; the trees are just leafing out and will be welcome shade this summer.

Just off of Highway 95. We got here about 6:45 pm and the park host, TJ, came to the office when I rang the doorbell. He checked us in, showed us our site and helped get us parked. The campground is clean and tidy. They have 30 amp electric, sewer, and town water. Just Everything we need after a long day on the road. We even saw a couple of wild burros.

Aka Poverty Flats - tons of space to spread out large flat areas. It is windy! Great location for visiting Valley of Fire and Overton is close for groceries etc. A bit over an hour away is the Historic Tunnel Railroad Trail at Hoover Dam and Lake Meads fantastic 34 mile paved River Mountains Loop Trail - both great biking riding trails. Check out the Wildlife Management Area in Overton for bird watching. Full Verizon & T-Mobile Home streaming.

Great location to go to Gemfield! Rode our bikes the 1 1/2 miles up the road and had a great day rockhounding. Nice level spot to camp there’s several spots for big rigs. We have a 32’ 5th wheel, the road is rough but not long and very passable just go slow. Antelope run through the hills and of course Gemfield is a must see. Full Verizon & Streaming with T-Mobile Home.

Dog droppings everywhere and truckers stop to bathe in the lake and sleep. I don’t mind, however, they keep their diesels on from time to time and along with the noise we’re choking on diesel exhaust fumes.
