Campground host last weekend where very helpful and great to talk to and were just all around great people
The campground hosts, Dan and his wife, have been nothing but helpful and kind. They make their rounds often but never impose. Sites are level, the park is quiet, there is fishing and plenty of hiking. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Plenty of spacing between sites too!
This is a very small park and go for just an overnight stay.
I’ve camped here in a tent as well as a travel trailer and it’s great either way! Nice camping spots, generally a very quiet campground. The campsites are a bit of a hike from the lake but there is lots to do when you get there. Paddle boats, a beach, several playgrounds for kids, fishing, a…
Thousand Hills SP was great. Huge swim beach, lots of trails, pavilions, playground equipment and beautiful views. Park has a full service marina where you can rent kayaks or fill your boat with gas. It also has a restaurant. Restaurant was not a little more upscale. I wouldn’t show up in flip…

The showers and bathrooms needed a good cleaning. There were also many barking dogs. On a good note the neighbors (cemetery) were quiet.
Only in for a night but so enjoyed the quiet, beautiful walk, nice beach at the shore of gorgeous lake and along with firewood, ice, and a variety of camping options, there is a very nice bathhouse. The only concern is that the asphalt pads need repair/replacing- steep, broken edges in spots.
We arrived on the Thursday before school started. Our sight had its own path to the lake. We set up site and just relaxed the rest of the night. So peaceful. For the most part, the whole weekend was relaxing, our site was big and flat. Restrooms and showers at the shower house were very clean.
As with all things ratings are subjective to the whims and mindset of the reviewer. That having been said this park meets my criteria as a wonderful park. Having stayed many times, the park often has fewer than five campers. No, there are not water or sewer hookups and only 30 amp electric service,…
Pershing State Park has nice treed sites that are not too close together.
It is a smaller campground. Easy to get walk around. There are some wonderful trails nearby. Our favorite was the Boardwalk trail - 1 1/2 miles of boardwalk through forest. Just beautiful! We also visited nearby LaClede…
Good campsites, camp host very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again
Shower house is nice. Campsites are good, just not close to the lake. You can take a trail from camground 2 down to indian petroglyphs and the swim beach.

They have a great lake, and quite campground. The lake has a nice beach next to the marina. Marina store has icecream and other small items if you need something. We were there on what staff said was a busy weekend and to us the lake was empty there was so few boats and the beach not even half…
