Stuck in storage

Hanson Hills Campground I have never felt so unwanted and segregated in my life. This campground is clearly about who you know. We are not from the area or even the same state so we were not with the in crowd. They were more than happy to take our reservation and money, and when we arrived, we saw a very cute camp office and store. We traveled past nice clean grassy campsites and according to their site they have activities and amenities. When we checked in, we were given nothing, no information, map, directions nothing but we were told to follow the lady in the golf cart it is a large turn to get into the site. We followed all the way through the campground past the nice open sites, a pool and playgrounds for her to come to another road and she stopped in the middle of the road as soon as she turned. Very confused my husband got out of the truck for her to tell him this is your site. We are parked in the middle of the gravel road next to box trailers in storage and broken tables from other sites. There was a gazebo in the middle of the grass area that edged the road. It has a ring doorbell camera pointed directly at our“site”. Our camper was boxing in other campers that had wooded sites on the edge. They physically could not move their rigs if they had to because we were in the road. According to their website and reviews they have activities, offer breakfast, and it is a great place to make memories. We would not know, paid to camp on the road in their storage, on rocks, with hook-ups.

Fun night!

Very relaxed place. Kinda drive in and park anywhere you see a firepit. We had a rooftop tent on the truck and a tent. We camped near the smaller pond. The spot was fine and there wasn’t a ton of tent campers so we had the place to ourselves. The portapotties were gnarly but the toilets/showers behind the office were clean and had hot water. Staff was friendly when we checked in and we bought an armfull of fire wood and they even dropped it off where we parked in their sidebyside but it was damp so we had to scavage some smaller sticks to get the fire hot enough to self sustain. There was a lot of burned cans and some trash in our fire pit when we showed up so we threw it all away before we started our fire. Would stay again but it definitely isn’t a 5 star clean place. Think Ruth from Ozark show.

Decent place, beautiful setting

We pulled in here around 10:30pm, and it was a little unclear where to go. There is no after hours check in, and a number handwritten on a sign had no answer when we called. There is no map, Signs are missing, and there is no guidance where to go, or even what number our site was when we found one. It is a beautiful quiet location, and some spaces are spaced appropriately, but the pull through sites were literally on top of each other. There was also a bit of trash. There are porta potties near our campsite, and spaced throughout the grounds, and the next morning we found some showers. Things are old, but cozy. Eventually we found someone to pay for our site.

Very kind owners and kid friendly

This was the best campground. We stayed over the labor day weekend and the campground was full of activities for the kids. There was a live band and karaoke. The pool was clean and the grounds were very clean and nice. The pond was a great place to relax and watch the kids reel in fish after fish. Everybody was respectful and quiet come night and morning. I recommend this place to anyone.

Mom and pop feel

A short excursion down a dirt road made the place feel remote, but within the comforts of society. Friendly staff made for a homey feel. Plenty of room to be camped away from others.

One short night

Arrived late, be aware this is a good 5 -10 minutes down a dirt road (after a rainy night it was not pretty pulling my trailer back to the highway). Hook ups where good, considering the remote location not much space between the sites and how large this place is. Did not use the facilities.
