Nice spot

Quiet 25 site campground. It does get a lot of “non camper traffic” A little road noise but the river makes up for it.

Old Growth Forest

Love this campground for a good weekend stay. Small campground but there’s some nice wooded sites and some more open sites. Looks like there’s some full hook ups. A few trails walking distance from the campground.

The old growth trail is beautiful and really well maintained. The trees are crazy…

Manistee River Trail and North Country Trail Intersection

This area has a special place in my heart, as it is the first place my wife and I camped in Manistee National Forest and the first place I took my son “real camping” at age 5, and it’s a spot we have revisited for things as important and special as birthdays and our wedding anniversary one year.…

Campin’ in the city!

We stayed here on our first night of our 10 day expedition, and it really is a beautiful campground. If you’re looking to get away from people and actually be in some wilderness, this is not the campground for you. But it is a great place to camp if you’re looking for a pitstop to camp while…

Nice park but…….

Site 52 and sites in immediate area was over 12” out of level from front to back. Looked like our camper was doing a wheelie. Check in nobody around signs said use yellow phone on board. Is this safe during covid? I called 800 number listed on board on cell phone the lady was mad and said I had…

Lake Life Camping!

WOW! My first time staying at a private campground vs. state campgrounds and I cannot speak highly enough of this oasis 🤩 There are a lot of seasonal campers who are all friendly, and the office staff are very warm and welcoming. There are not too many kids here, which is great for those of us…

Beautiful and Tranquil......A MUST!

The campground has a lot to offer. It's tucked away in the perfect spot with plenty of trees to make you feel like you're in the wild yet still a short drive to tourist attractions (like wineries and Fish Town). It does have campsites along the water and if you are lucky to snag one, you've hit…

Spacious, pit toilets, no dump. The lake looks nice, but the campground is very buggy. So many mosquitos it is hard to sit outside. Many ORV trails, but they are also very loud.

Good for a 2-day camp.

Great river trail with a decent amount of campsites. We arrived late Friday and most spots were taken. I’d imagine most spots are scoped out earlier in the evening. A lot of people camping/running/hiking. The east side of the river is more hilly but has an abundance of water spots to fill up. The…

Awesome Wooded Campground!

We stayed here over Labor Day Weekend 2021 and had a great time. The electric sites are all large campsites that are very long with lots of options on how you want to setup. Awesome wood pricing that's delivered directly to the campsite. Lots of walking trails and the campground was dog friendly.…

More like large backyard camping.

We stayed here back in the summer of 2019. This was the only place in the area that had a site available. Yard/sites were well kept and looked nice. Our site was small and cramped but thankful that it was open. They only had porta potties, no showers. We had to go to another nearby campground to…

Beautiful Campground 😃

This review is based on our stay back in July of 2020 during the 4th of July Holiday weekend. Lots of shade. Campsites were pretty level. Bathhouse facilities were very very clean and well kept. The campground is beautiful and rather large. Lots of sites for every type of camper even lakefront…

Nice Camping Experience, but…….

The lots were not very level so the set up was a bit more difficult. Had to use several leveling blocks. We had to purchase extra hose for the sewage hook ups as they were situated further away and were also a bit uphill. The bathroom facilities were ok but not great. The showers were cramped and…
