Skoolie

I have not visited this location but wanted others with school bus conversions to know that I spoke to Betty at this location and was advised that Skoolie’s are allowed on the property!

Four days, 3 nights delight!

Myself and 2 friends stayed in one of the 5 Yurts on the lake. Every morning we watched the sun rise over the trees, to start our days. Every evening, we gathered on the back deck to watch the sun setting. Let me tell you, absolutely breathtaking!

Plenty of room inside the structure for 3 adults,…

Nature Oriented

Campsite 10 at Fort Yargo has a lovely water view. Temporary home to a family of geese and one white duck. Shower house was adequate. There was enough room between campsites. The registration/ camp store was nice. Many trails - some paved. Signage is not so great if arriving after hours as we did.…

Amazing views and pure relaxation

We had camp site 19 and the views we amazing of the lake. Waking up opening the blinds to see the lake and ducks swimming around we’re just what we were looking for. It’s a bit of a hill to the lake but worth it. The showers were private and very clean, but the dump station DOES NOT empty your…

Great 1st camping trip

We circled the wagons with 30 of our friends and had a great time in the at the end of the loop. Water and electrical worked great. Bathrooms were good and showers had good pressure. Had some woods nearby that the kids explored in. One of the sites was very low and half of the site was under water…

Restful, quiet campground

Park is the home of the VP of the Confederacy and features his home and Civil War artifacts (check for open hours). Hiking trails. Power and water, with dump station. The shower house is new (2019) and is ADA. Also laundry is at shower house. Firewood for sale with camp host. Shady, level, back…

Not too far!

Met some girlfriends for a weekend . Absolutely loved the hike by the falls . The campground is small and compact but neat with nice hosts.

Great park

We came to stay at river campsite. It is clean, spacious, and quite. The lake campsite can only accommodate small campers.

Many trials

Fort Yargo is a bit of history for Georgia, restored cabin from 1792. Boating, hiking, camping and cabins with another area that is a private resort. Lots of room 1816 acres, 16 cabins, 6 yurts. Many tent and trailers spots. #34 has full hookups. There is a nice pavilion and a fairly new welcome…

Manicured but nice!

This place is great if you still want some of the comforts of home. Water spouts are dropped around the sites and there is a bathhouse with showers and hot water accessible to all who camp there! The sites for tent camping are fairly close together-you can definitely see the next site because there…

Beautiful falls and great recreation area.

We stayed in the back loop of the campground site #83. It was nice as there were only 3 other sites occupied on the loop. It faced the woods and we could hear an owl off in the distance and saw several different species of birds and tons of squirrels. The campground really makes you feel like…
