Lots to do!

Off grid camping. Lots of trails. Ruins of the old mill. Beautiful lake to kayak or fish. Close to the interstate. Go for the day or a weekend.

Fun for kids

My kids loved the open activities at Jellystone! They bounced on the jump pad, went down the new bounce slide, enjoyed the playground, and the pools. I do wish they had the heaters on in the pool, even though it was hot out, the pools were ice cold.

We were there during superhero weekend and they…

Stunning as can be

Wow! Mother Nature is sure the baddest of them all… This place have everything from hiking trails, camping and daily picnics, it’s not over crowded to where it’s uncomfortable but it’s so still and an essence of such a chill vibe. If I could move here I would! Clean and well kept.

If you want to…

Good stop for night

Overall: A

The Good: the site connections were all available, even in late December. The upper loop road for the small campers was super clean and quiet. The bathhouse was a pleasant surprise. They were spacious, warm and clean.

The Not So Great: the site location, while close to the…

Overlander finally pitched a tent

I stopped into Atlanta for a few nights and wanted a covid-safe accommodations and a spot to hike and shoot photography. Sweetwater Creek camping was sort of primitive camping in a city setting. You could definitely hear traffic going by the camp site as a thoroughfare runs through the park. The…

Nice campground

Campground is fairly large with lots of sites for RVs, a few Cabins, yurts, and even tent sites. There is a really nice and well maintained pool, hot tub, and splash area for small kids. The RV sites near the pool are concrete pads and well spaced out. The sites below the pool area are a little…

Higher Price for not a lot

This park as raised its prices and no longer offers the Good Sam discount. The pool and playground are nice. It also has a nice building available for groups to rent. Other than that.. the price is high for what you get.

Friendly Neighborhood

Overall friendly neighbors. The staff was nice. However, there were quite a few confederate flags flying around, and there were not many other people of color in the area. There were never any issues.

Small campground - nice hiking

Sweetwater Creek SP is just a few minutes from downtown Atlanta. It’s a great place for hiking and fishing, but camping is limited. A wooded hiking trail follows the stream to the ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, a textile mill burned during the Civil War by General Sherman’s…

Beautiful place, even had a wedding here!

The wedding was spectacular even though it rained, the bathrooms were clean, the grounds were spacious and the water views were to die for. This park is hidden off the beaten patch of coming from the south of it but it is one not to miss.

Ok but management could be better

Price is a bit high considering electricity is not included. They also charged $25 per person a month above 2 people which adds up when you have 3 children. They have a pool, playground, activity center where they do arts and crafts and activities, clean laundry and bath facilities, and some other…
