## Overview

The Morganton Point Recreation Area is located in the Blue Ridge Ranger District, within the beautiful northeast Georgia mountains. Pristine water and scenic views draw visitors from around the state and region. 

## Recreation

The Morganton Point Recreation Area offers visitors year-round recreation opportunities including camping, picnicking, boating, swimming and hiking, all centered around beautiful Lake Blue Ridge. The lake is open to motor boats and jet skis, as well as non-motorized watercraft.   
  
Fishing in the 3,290-acre lake is a popular activity for visitors to the Morganton Point Campground. Anglers can expect to catch a variety of bass and other fish. Visitors are encouraged to check with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources for a complete listing of freshwater fishing regulations for Lake Blue Ridge.   
  
Day-use hiking trails, including one that parallels the lakeshore, are ideal for short, relaxing strolls through the forest. The Appalachian and Benton MacKave trails pass through Fannin County and are easily accessed near the campground.

## Facilities

The campground offers campsites available for tent and RV camping. Several walk-in sites are for tents only. Some sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each site is equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills. Accessible showers and drinking water are also provided. Beach access includes a designated swimming area, picnic tables, outdoor showers and trash collection bins. 

## Natural Features

The campground offers multiple sites adjacent to Lake Blue Ridge, in the Chattahoochee National Forest.  
  
Lake Blue Ridge is known for its aquamarine waters surrounded by the forested foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The 3,290-acre reservoir boasts over 60 miles of shoreline, with around 80% belonging to the Chattahoochee National Forest.

The nearest convenience store and gas station are located in Morganton, about a mile north of the campground.   
  
The nearest full-service grocery stores and shopping villages are located in Blue Ridge, approximately 15 minutes west along U.S. Highway 76.

Morganton Point Campground

Located in the Chilhowee Recreation Area, Chilhowee Campground offers a multitude of camping opportunities for both RV and tent sites, many with electric hookups. The day-use area includes McKamy Lake, a swim area with sand beach, picnic sites, a group picnic area, and a bathhouse. Be Aware; Do not use GPS directions: GPS coordinates will direct you up Benton Springs Rd. This route is not recommended. We recommend using Forest Service Road 77 to reach the recreation area. It's important to note, this facility requires driving 7 miles up to Chilhowee Campground on a narrow, winding road. Do not use the Benton Springs Access Road to the campground as this is an unpaved and dangerous road for RVs. Inexperienced RV drivers may have difficulties getting to and around the site. Recreation Chilhowee Recreation Area is an excellent hub for hiking and mountain biking in the Chilhowee Trails System, fishing in McKamy Lake, and wildlife viewing without having to get in your car. The 7-acre McKamy Lake offers a swim area with a sand beach, and fishing from the bank. Boats are allowed, but gasoline motors are not. Within the recreation area are approximately 25 miles of hiking and biking trails, and a scenic waterfall. The views and lake are beautiful, especially hiking to Benton Falls via a 1.5 mile in and out moderate trail. On the drive up to the campground, stop at one of the many observation overlooks to see beautiful mountain settings. Wildlife is abundant in this area, so have your camera ready and tread lightly. Chilhowee Recreation Area Map and Guide Facilities Picnic tables, grills, and lantern posts are located at each site. Bathhouses providing flush toilets and warm showers are available in each loop, as well as in the day use area. Water hydrants are located throughout the campground. An RV dump station is located at the end of E Loop. Loops A and B offer walk-in tent sites with electricity. Be Aware; Do not use GPS directions: GPS coordinates will direct you up Benton Springs Rd. This route is not recommended. We recommend using Forest Service Road 77 to reach the recreation area. Chilhowee Recreation Area

You'll love your escape to this cozy tiny house nestled into the woods on a lakefront lot on scenic Lake Chatuge. The Tiny House on Wheels has 2 queen bed lofts, and a futon that makes a 3rd queen bed, as well as one of the best screened-in porches on the entire lake. Sunset views and comfy seating make it a place you won't want to leave.

Swim from the dock, rent a boat, or launch your own at one of 2 nearby TVA ramps.

Relax around the lakefront fire pit, or on the AMAZING and huge screened in porch. Downtown Hayesville is just minutes away, as are many hiking and mountain biking trails at Fire's Creek or Jackrabbit Park.

Our six-acre solar-powered goat farm is a quiet and peaceful slice of paradise away from the chaos and noise but close to so many places to adventure.

## Overview

Thunder Rock Campground is located 1.8 miles northwest of the Ocoee Whitewater Center, just behind TVA Ocoee Powerhouse Number 3. Nestled alongside the Ocoee River, this facility provides 37 regular campsites for popups and RVs less than 20 feet with no elctricity , ONLY site 9 is an electric site for less than 20 feet at 30 amp, and one group campsite. Thunder Rock is a popular destination for both whitewater and trail enthusiasts. 

## Recreation

Trailhead parking is available for the nearby Tanasi trail system, which includes approximately 30 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. This system can be reached via Thunder Rock Express, Dry Pond Lead, or the Rhododendron Trail. Thunder Rock also provides access to the Benton-McKaye Trail.

## Facilities

Picnic tables, grills, and lantern posts are located at each campsite. Water hydrants are located throughout the campground. Bathhouses provide flush toilets and warm showers. The campground host is located at the campground entrance next to the main bathhouse.

Thunder Rock Campground

Totally Off-grid, Offline, Private, Natural retreat weekend

Enjoy your completely private, secluded camping experience on over 20 forested acres in the foothills of Blueridge Mountains. We are in Northern Georgia near the tiny town of Fairmount, between Jasper, Cartersville, and Calhoun, GA. You will be our ONLY GUESTS for the entire weekend!

When you arrive, your tent will already be set up, and your air mattress bed turned down, welcoming you to enjoy your first night under the stars. That evening, we suggest winding down by maybe reading a book, or curling up by the fire to be mesmerized by its flames. With no traffic or light pollution, you may find some of the best star gazing ever. Then the night sounds of the forest will soothe you into a night of restful sleep.

We love kids, but this is a retreat designed for ADULTS. There are cliffs and drop-offs near the campsite that are not safe for children. Adults with disabilities should contact us in advance of booking to make sure you are comfortable with the physical demands of spending the weekend camping on this raw, wild property. Pathways and trails are uneven and rocky in spots, and some trails are steep.

MUST LOVE DOGS! Our property is owned by four dogs, two goats, and a cat who let us live with them! Our dogs and cat roam freely on the property and the goats may be offended if you don’t at least say hello.

Off-grid and Offline means: NO electricity, NO indoor plumbing, NO Wi-Fi

(This kind of weekend is not for everyone, and that’s OK!)



Off-grid and Offline also means: You will be staying on a ridge with a panoramic view of the forest and mountains like none other. You will experience no traffic, no city noise. Just quiet, peace, and wild nature.

We live in our tiny, off-grid house on the first ridge. You will be able to see it from your campsite on the second ridge. Please do let us know before you stop by though, because we shower outside! We will provide a walkie-talkie should you need to contact us, and otherwise, we will respect your privacy and the entire second ridge will be yours! If you would like to hike to the creek or explore the rest of the 20 acres, just let us know and we will direct you to the trailhead.

Going without your phone is encouraged, but optional, of course, though you may not have a signal either way. We provide walkie-talkies for safety, and we personally have phone service in case of emergencies.

You may bring your own alcohol and we are 420 friendly. Please just keep it at your campsite, consume responsibly and in moderation to preserve your nature experience. There are steep inclines, rocks and stumps that may cause injury to an inebriated camper! Also, clean up cans/bottles and any other waste every day and night.



On this lovely weekend, you may want to hike, bird watch, meditate, sketch, read or just relax on the ridge with the scenic overlook that is all yours.

o	Dishwashing supplies. Dawn soap is the only soap allowed for dish washing, as it is safe for the environment.

Serenity Ridge

Get away from it all at this unique glamping experience in Suches, Georgia! Perfect for a couples getaway or a campers dream. The site is private and heavily forested. The site offers a luna bell tent on a deck with a queen size bed. There is a fully equipped covered outdoor kitchen on a deck with a griddle, grill, stove, hot water sink, mini fridge, and picnic table. A nearby teepee tent is also available for your use - but know this is rugged accommodations. The kitchenette is stocked with utensils, plates, coffee cups, and pots & pans. At sunset, throw some logs into the fire pit and watch the stars from the 4 Adirondack chairs until you retreat to the tent for the night.

Sitting amidst the beautiful landscape of the Chattahoochee National Forest, there are many trails to hike and bike along within a few miles. Just eight miles away check out the Toccoa River Swing Bridge. With local waterfalls nearby and the Vogel State Park 30 miles east, you will definitely get your fill of the great outdoors.

The Glamp Shack

The Safari tent is secluded but not too far from the main house in case you need anything.   Hiwassee glamping is magically nestled inside the Cherokee National Forest.  The safari tent site overlooks a creek and valley away from the hooks of everyday life to escape the stresses of a world wide pandemic.  No cell phone service here.  There is the Hiwassee River for fishing, tubing, kayaking; hiking trails inside resort property which also provides a private entrance to 200 acres of the Cherokee National Forest.  Explore the public forest all the way to the Hiwassee River.  Nearby hiking trails include Turtletown Falls and John Muir along the River.

The Ocoee River is 15 miles for more challenging activities like white water rafting and zip line.  So reserve the Safari tent and glamp for a fun week or weekend.

The Space:
A wilderness citizen is an outsider who wants to learn the ways of hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing, and ATV riding.  They agree to enjoy the Cherokee National Forest, follow resort rules, and to stay off social media internet sites for their stay duration

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Other Things to Note:
Please note that we don't supply sleeping bags, pillows, bed sheets, or firewood. You may order firewood on the Tentrr reservation site and it will be waiting for you at the campsite upon your arrival.  We are a NO SMOKING campsite. Your dog is also welcome as long as you clean up after him or her.  We recommend bug spray in the Summer. 

All Pets are welcome. Be sure to clean up after your pets!! No outside/offsite firewood is permitted, firewood is readily available for purchase at camp. Campfires belong only in the provided fire rings and are not permitted anywhere else on the grounds.

Lost Indian Camp 

Connect with nature as you interact with the many animals (donkey, goats, & rabbits) and wander through the herb gardens.  Enjoy a fire at your campsite, fish for bass, brim, or catfish from a pond dock, kayak or stand-up paddle board using the farm equipment or hike or bicycle the wooded trails.  Surrounded by forests and woods, the farm is only a 15 min. drive to the eclectic mountain town of Blue Ridge, Ga.

In the age of social distancing, isolated time can still be quality time - especially when you___re unplugged and out in nature - and we want you to know that the Tentrr team and our hosts are working together to make sure you have a safe and relaxing experience. Our hosts have been doing a great job ensuring our campsites are clean and spotless for your arrival. We ask that you do your part as well - maintain social distancing, clean up after yourselves, and leave no trace - so that everyone in our camping communities can enjoy these cherished outdoor spaces. 

To limit the potential impact of community spread during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are encouraging our campers and hosts to adopt self-check in procedures whenever possible. To make self check-in easy, Tentrr provides a map to your site and driving directions in an email sent out a few days before your reservation. Please refer to this guide to get to your campsite. As a reminder, it is good practice to give your host a head's up on your estimated arrival time a few days beforehand. If you need any assistance, you can reach out to your host through the contact information provided in your confirmation email.

Other Things to Note:
You are free to explore the farm and interact with the goats, rabbits, and donkey.  The donkey may try to bite, especially females (you have to hold your bra on tight with him), All the animals love carrots, apples, and ginger snaps.  Fishing in the ponds is allowed (catch and release only) and be sure to visit the farm store for local crafts.  Be sure to visit the art studio and gallery located behind the barn on the farm.

Tentrr Signature Site - 6 Ponds Farm Glamping

Located in the heart of Murphy, NC. With easy access to Blue Ridge and Hiawassee, GA. This large gravel lot features a picnic table with bistro lights, firepit and clean porta potty. There is a water spicket available on the airstream lot across the road. The airstream is empty and for owner use only. You will have access to water spicket. The site is not suitable for tents since it is entirely gravel. There is room for 23 ft travel van or car camper.

The Custom made Canopy King Size Bed, Antiques, HEATED Whirlpool Jacuzzi in bedroom and fluffy white robes will make you want to return again and again. A 65" TV is in the Parlor. We have lots of movies to choose from and Amazon Prime so you can enjoy watching your favorite show without commercials! Pandora is also available and many CD"S to set the perfect mood.

The Carriage House has many Beautiful sitting areas with antiques and a fireplace overlooking the beautiful mountains.

An Inviting Sun/Moon Room has a Queen size Moon Bed for lounging to enjoy the Mountain fresh air while gazing up at the stars and moon. A favorite is the fireflies! The sun room/moon room also has a dining and sitting area to enjoy the mountain views and beautiful flowers.

A large walk in closet to hang your clothes and for your luggage with a full size front load washer and dryer are in your suite.

This 3 Acre Mini Farm is Only 5 Miles from downtown Blue Ridge and close to tubing, kayaking, white water rating, horse back riding, zip lining and More!

Daffodil Hill Carriage has three Carriages. There is an antique 1800s carriage completely restored. Carriage Rides are available from the farm. Custom Rides are our Specialty! Moses and Aaron, our Beautiful, Gentle Gypsy Vanner Crosses, pull the carriages as a team A 1 hour or 2 hour Romantic, Country Scenic Carriage Ride, western style, down dirt roads is a must see, and must do, for all ages. Enjoy your private 2300 Sq Foot Carriage House which was custom built for couples to kindle their love on a 3 Acre Mini Farm. The Carriage , House is 17 steps above the barn and is 5 star quality.

We built this suite with all the luxury amenities to ensure an amazing stay.

Take time to venture out to the 3 Acre farm and spend time with our two Fainting Goats. Buttercup loves to be held and loved and Lily enjoys playing and jumping. Moses and Aaron, our horses love apples and carrots and Daisy the Mini Donkey and Duke the pony enjoy being brushed.

Walk through the paths of flowers and see the man made 80 foot waterfall. A hiking path to get a good workout was made for those who love to hike! Along the hiking path are fruot trees, varipus berries and of course lots of flowers. There is nothing like enjoying one of the outdoor sitting areas or hammocks overlooking the mountains or enjoying a bonfire at night on a farm on a mountain! No street lights just the beautiful stars and moon to light up the sky!

All 4 seasons unfolds the beauty of nature with a different and unique display of flowers and mountain views! Everyday of the year is a perfect day at Daffodill Hill Farm and Carriage!!!

Daffodil Hill is a Farm, so you may hear a rooster crow, our miniature donkey Daisy say hello or our two goats say maa! Night time is quiet when the animals go to sleep and the stars and moon are spectacular; especially laying on the moon bed in the sun room with the mountain breeze through the windows.

Daffodil Hill Farm Romantic Luxury Carriage House

Hello, our names are Jacob and Lauren Payne and we are new glamp site owners. We are super excited to open our property to glampers. Our glamping site sits near the corner of our 10 acre farm and is bordered by forest service land. While you are here, we hope you enjoy the peace and serenity of the quiet country life, while still being close enough to local amenities and attractions to be convenient. We are within short driving distance to numerous areas of interest in the southern Appalachian mountains to include Georgias highest point at Brasstown Bald. Other local attractions include Vogel State Park, Helton Creek Falls, Farmers Market, access to Application trail and many more. Additionally our site is a refreshing 10-15 minute walk/hike through the forest to a private cove on beautiful Lake Nottely which sits about 400 yards from the site. We are excited to share this experience with you! 

We got the name of the site from our son who says be Fareful when meaning be careful! 

The Space:

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling

Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.

If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). Come to our campsite where nearby activities are endless. Go fishing on the Hiwassee with a 3__mile section, between__Big Bend and the L&N railroad bridge designated as a quality trout fishing area.__Spend the day kayaking/rafting__or tubing.__The__Hiwassee River also provides a 5-mile section of class I-III whitewater beginning just below the Appalachia__Powerhouse. Hike along the scenic Hiwassee River on the JohnMuir National Recreation Trail #152, which is also part of the long-distance Benton MacKaye Trail.__Our campsite is also within a 45 minute drive of the Ocoee Whitewater Center which is your chance to experience the whitewater__thrills of an Olympic river! Outfitters offer guided raft trips down two sections of the Ocoee River. The upper section flows through the__Olympic course past Ocoee Whitewater Center. The middle section__offers a thrill a minute class III and IV whitewater rapids.__ Go hiking and mountain biking.__ Experience the cool spray of Benton Falls, an easy 1.5 mile hike from Chilhowee Recreation Area on Trail #131. Chilhowee's trail complex offers about 20 miles of hike/bike trails. Check out the 30-mile Tanasi Trail Complex at the Ocoee WhitewaterCenter, probably the best biking trail in the Southeast. Other attractions include a local vineyard as well as the opportunity to go on a glider.__Some nearby towns with shopping and restaurants include Benton and Etowah.

We have a total of two campsites on our property for bookings. 
There is a trail from the parking lot to the sites.  It is approx . 100 yards and is on an incline.

Relax and enjoy yourself.__ This is a non-smoking__site.__This is a secluded 5 acre private site but is in a Residential area. Please stay within the property boundaries, and observe quiet hours from 10PM to 8AM. THIS IS CAMPING NOT GLAMPING, As this is a tent in the woods, please know that there will be insects such as daddy long leg spiders and flying insects. Please do not feed the wild animals. Respect the land and tent as you would your own.  What you carry in, you must carry out!  Check campsite for trash or belongings.  Clean out Tentrr CampBox. __Zip up all tent windows and doors (clasps, too).  Take all your garbage with__you.  Clean up after your dog.
