Beautiful Place

This place is absolutely beautiful, sites are huge with full hookups. There are bathrooms and laundry in the rec center. There is a TV room, puzzles and pool also located at the rec center. Out the back door of the rec center is a beautiful deck overlooking the spring fed lake which would be a…

This Could Be The Best Campground Ever!

Holy AMAZING campgrounds, folks!  Dyrt - there should really be 6 star ratings for this park to be properly rated!  I don’t think I’ve ever come across anything quite like Crooked River State Park located in SE Georgia – and the more I poked around as I explored the massive grounds of this gem and…

Great Stay!!

Very clean, level sites! Nice Firepit! Friendly rangers. Didn’t rent a cottage but they looked nice! Had 30amp service and it worked flawlessly!

Great Overnight

Great location a 5 min. walk to the beach with very clean and well appointed bathrooms with showers. My only wish is that we had a longer stay!

Not my kinda place

If we had a lot of activities to do on the island, this campground would be super convenient and practical. The campground itself is too tight for me, like a parking lot with some trees and bushes. Not at all relaxing for me, especially with my six dogs. That said, the amenities are totally…

Lovely beach, sites a little cramped

We stayed here one night, in two tents, on a relatively spur-of-the-moment midweek visit. We liked the sparsely populated beach, the very tidy and seemingly newly tiled bathhouse, and the nice patches of palms and bushes between sites. We didn’t like the proximity to the road (noise), the…

One of our favorites

We love this park. It's beautiful and well maintained. The employees are out and about all day working. The trees are stunning with the spanish moss. There are great walking and biking trails. You can easily walk or bike to Driftwood beach (turn right out of CG) which is a must. We were at B10, a…

Beautiful lakeside hideaway

Beautiful little campground where nearly every site has a view of the largeish fishing lake. All sites are natural with no pad, but full hook up. The wifi is good and the staff are cordial. There is a clubhouse for hanging out with TV, computers, and games right on the lake. The grounds are close…

Best Military Campground

What a great campground! The lake is beautiful. The laundry free. And close to St. Marys. There is fishing, hiking and riding trails. We saw lightening bugs, armadillos, and many different waterfowl. All the sites are paved with full hook-up. Love it here.

  • Lake view from our site.
  • Campground from the little fishing pier.
  • Another view of the beautiful lake.

Clean and cute

We needed a spot to stay on the beginning of our long travel. This RV park was really cute. We stayed at the buddy site and it was still enough room between our camper and my parents camper.

This was the first place we ever camped, and it was the best experience ever! We love it here and will differently be coming back.

Really great location

We quite enjoyed our stay here simply because of the location. Our spot was facing the St. John’s. The kids loved seeing the big ships coming and going. They also loved climbing on the rocks of the sea wall, and playing at the beach, of course. Toilets were clean. Downsides were no privacy from the…
