Okay campground and great park!

The campground was just a bit tight for my preferences as a tent camper (especially as it was fully booked over a holiday—Thanksgiving—weekend), but we still had a great time. We rented a Jon boat, which let us see a lot of the park. Would definitely return.

Quiet and dark

Our site was slightly uneven, but leveling was a snap. Large site and trees between sites provided privacy. Not too many other campers. The bathrooms were spotless. The bugs were fierce, particularly the yellow flies. The boardwalk by the Trading Post is a nice walk, and we saw a barred owl.

Staff very friendly and easy going. Gravel sites with 50/30/20 electric and water & sewer hookups

First Time Camper

This was my first time camping and I really didn’t know what to expect. I thought it would be awful. Camping at Suwannee was awesome! There was so much to do - swim, see the bat houses at night, and so much area to walk around and explore. The tree houses and some cabin had great lights lit up at…

Nice and Quiet

Short weekend to get away.  Campground was very quiet and peaceful.  Will definitely go back!  Campground host and volunteers are great.

Loop #1 one is some what on the primitive side.  Washed out dirt round makes the loop. The sites have water and power but maybe unlevel and seem to be not…

I’ll never stop coming here

I’ve been camping at General Coffee for over 10 years and I’ll never stop coming back. The heritage farm is worth it just by itself, but it doesn’t stop there. The trails are long enough to get a nice workout in and the cabins are beautiful! I’ve only ever stayed in the cabins but I’m sure the tent…

Quiet and comfortable

We stopped for the night on our way south and enjoyed a quiet little stay.  Good 50Amp, Water and Sewage with easy pull throughs.  The WIFI was actually amazing and we were able to stream our Fire Stick HD.

Excellent Visit

We just got back from 4 nights at this campground and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.  We were disapointed in our site, as it was on a corner, with a really odd shape, while there were TONS of empty spaces the entire time, but it wasn't that big of a deal.  It was a bit of a drag not having a sewer…

Reed Bingham review

What is so beautiful about this park? It was clean and tidy, even on the walking trail which were able to be traversed by all ages. Maybe the view of this huge lake, groomed beach area, and lovely oaks made this first visit a memorable one. Most spaces were under shade except for a few near the…

Nice quiet and not far off I-75

Quiet state park with full hookups, power & water and grassy tent sites. Gopher turtle reserve with great hiking trails. 2 shower houses, mini golf and canoe rentals on lake. Fishing with state license. Walmart, McDonalds, Burger king and sit-down resturants in town (about 7 miles).

  • Prehistoric animals live here. State turtle is the Gopher Turtle and this park is a protected area for them.

Enjoyable stay

We arrived on Easter Sunday and stayed in our 5th wheel on site #1 for three nights. It was easy to get in but make sure you take the right to the check in area. We tried the little hut and had to swing around to get into registration.

Our site had water and electric and we were very close to…

Nice wooded Lot

On day of my second visit 4/6/21 park was open and ready for campers. Site is right next to DNR Ocgmulgee River acces. Grass well maintained, sites not well marked, while electric may be mostly 30 amp, #16 and likely others are 50 amp. No RV Dump found, all sites do have water. As of this date, cost…

Peaceful, friendly, wonderful

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Spent 8 nights. This was one of the most unexpected pleasant surprise campgrounds we have stayed at. Great hiking (gorgeous boardwalks) and biking within the park as well as lake access. The most friendly camp hosts…

Spanish Moss , Croaking Frogs and Hooting Owls

We spent two February nights in Hutch Gibson County Park & Boat Ramp. The park is on the banks of the Suwannee River and the trees are dripping with Spanish moss. The camp host was friendly and the campground was clean and peaceful. It had rained a lot the week before making the water too high…
