Skidaway Getaway

We booked site 61 at Skidaway Island State Park for our first trip to Savannah. It was a convenient location for experiencing the low country.

We called ahead because we knew we’d arrive after hours. The staff was helpful and completed the check in process over the phone. She hung out tag at our…

Awesome place for families

Great little campground with full hook-ups, 30 amp & 50 amps sites, back in & pull through sites. Lots of wildlife everywhere and domestic rabbits all over the campground that they raise at the campground for the kids to feed & enjoy. It's very quiet, lots of trees and plenty of…

Great spot to enjoy the beauty of coastal Georgia

Skidaway Island State Park is a terrific spot conveniently located on the Diamond Causeway outside Savannah. We stayed here for 3 nights and found something fun and different to do each day of our stay. Whether you’re looking to do some hiking, biking, or kayaking on the intercostal, Skidaway has…

A hidden gem just south of Savannah

Great campground and State Park minutes from downtown Savannah. Great tree canopy, remote hiking trails and friendly staff and volunteers.

Great family vacation spot

My family and I camped here for a week and it was awesome. There's so many things to do from large swimming pool, hot tubs, large lazy river, splash pads for the kids, and many activies daily.

Good place to veg out

Our group stayed in pull throughs #84-85 & #86 with lots of room around us. 84& 85 were extremely private. Great roads for our ebikes around the campsites, but not great on the roots along the Big Ferry Trail. Tough going, but made it to the end and found the still, shell ring and old…

Well located and maintained - near beach

My wife and I stayed for three nights in early May.  Tybee Island is near Savannah Ga and is the closest Atlantic side beach to Atlanta.  River's End is a short walk to North Beach and very well run.  We were guided to a shaded drive through spot near one other camper.

The surface was fine…

Clean, crowded and family friendly

Very clean and organized. Campsites are stacked on each other. Our neighbor’s fire ring was literally five feet from our RV. Thank goodness they didn’t have a fire while we were there. Lots of families with you f kids riding bikes and playing. Also lots of campers that were staying many days with…

Excellent stay for visiting Savannah

This park has a lot going for it.  There are some full hookup sites that fill up quick.  Our site was a very nice pull through, 30/20 amp electric and water. Plenty of room with a fire ring and picnic table.  The roads are rather narrow, but can be navigated with a bit of patience and care. The…

Perfect Secluded Getaway

We absolutely loved Skidaway Island State Park. The campsites are spacious, bathhouses clean, and the trails are kept very manicured. It’s a small state park but the perfect size to tuck away for a week. There’s also a Publix that’s easily in bike riding distance just outside the gate of the park…

A Favorite for Beach and Outdoors Lovers

This is our favorite campground. Bring bikes and kayak- you won't be disappointed. We stayed here for 2 months and have been here before and this is one of our favorite places to come. The sites are gravel and level. Most sites are easy to get in and out of and not too close together. I have never…
