Perfect fall or spring family camping

We found some great spots with plenty of room but there are also “adjoining” type sites if you are camping with other families. Bathrooms are clean but no ventilation. I personally wouldn’t shower in the bathhouse if it’s over 80 degrees outside because it is sweltering. Firewood at the outpost was…

Quiet in the mountains

We have stayed st FD Roosevelt several times over the last few years and keep coming back. The lakeside campground provides lake and forest views. They recently added a third new bathhouse which is quite nice and are still renovating the rest of the campground. The only minus is the distance our…

Wonderful Place to stay!

A great little place to stay in middle Georgia. The staff was terrific! Very clean and well maintained. It was somewhat close to the interstate so expect some highway noise but not bad as there were trees to help block some of the noise. Easy on and off the highway. A staff member to show you to…

Americus GA KOA

This is a really nice campground. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean! The tent sites have really nice raised tent platforms, with a picnic table and fire ring. The site light was bright and the electrical outlet came in handy. There was disc golf, golf, and a nice fenced dog park. Only thing…

Great overnight stay

Great location for an overnight stay! The staff (Lisa and Dave) were wonderful. The warm cookies were especially appreciated. Site was a pull through near the entrance for easy access. We didn’t use any of the facilities. We arrived on the dark and left early the next morning but it was exactly…

Extended stay at uchee creek

I stayed here in my NoBo 16.2 camper for almost 6 weeks waiting on a house. The site is clean. Cable, electric, water and sewer. The wifi has been out for a while. Tent sites and cabins also available. Lots of wildlife. If you're into C130s flying over due to being in close proximity to the…

Great COVID time at Oz

Spent a weekend in March 2021 at Oz. Had a great time even though it was early in the season.

Immaculate Grounds

We arrived after the office had closed, in the middle of a thunderstorm. They had welcome packets, on the large porch, next to the office, explaining the self check in and night drop box for payment. A board on the wall showed what sites we could use. The packet gave us a code to the shower house,…

Beautiful and Fun

We stayed during the 4th of July weekend, it wasn't crowded and was very peaceful. Fun trails, hiking and swimming! My favorite part was watching our kids and my husband jump off the large rock into the river. Loads of fun, highly recommend for single or family camping!

Amongst the activities

Stayed in site #253. Ok campground. Sites are small and uneven. Premium price but not premium site. Our site was on loop with a lot of shade. Camp has mostly full hookups including cable. Pool at campground and store. Yurts, rental campers, premium tents are also available. Lots of activities in…

Great campground

The tent sites sit in a hill and may have a slight incline where you have to set them up. However the view ftom above the RVs is worth it. Electric and water sites. Bath house snd laundry room. Playground nearby.

Wonderful Koa campsite

Nice RV park

This is a nice RV park. There are full hook ups, a laundry room, 3 ponds with fishing, decent cell service. They also did a 4th of July get together for the local community and had blow up rides, a dj, food and fireworks. The sites are spaced out in some sections and closer in others, but overall…

Easy overnight stay just off I75

Easy drive thoughts with full hookup. Very clean pool but closes at 8pm with no lights. Fine if you need a spot over night or need to be close to rd dealers or repairs with camping world just up the block and a area Info Center next door. Noise from interstate would not be nice if the air wasn't…
