We really liked the campground. One section of the campground was too close to the highway, which made you hear cars passing all night, but sites 32 and up were very peaceful and quiet. There were a few people with noisy trucks driving up and down the road, but besides that it was a great trip. If…

We are still me to RV camping so not many places to compare it to, but in all this is a great spot to camp. The main area is very open a a bit tight so getting a spot in the upper part of the campground is a must if you want a little space. The upper portion has trees, but it’s not super level so…
Most of the spots are distanced a good ways from other sites. They are a little close to the paved path for my taste though. Plenty of restrooms. Fairly clean and quiet park.
Great place with beautiful view of the lake. Clean facilities.
Easy access from Atlanta area with great camping plots for both tents and campers. Beautiful views of the lake..
We came for the memorial day weekend and the week afterwards. The park was full but also still peaceful and quiet in the primitive camping area.

We had a good time on our weekend trip. Place had a pool and 2 playgrounds. Great for kids.
I just stayed one night in May, but the entire area is beautiful. I saw lots of deer and squirrels. The facility was undergoing renovations, so the restroom facility near my campsite was closed. There were plenty more within walking distance. I would definitely recommend
We had our wedding and honeymoon here it was quite and peaceful
Had a great time we primitive tent camped toilets where very clean non drinking pump close by. Will be back soon
Lots of open space, trees, by a river. Clean bath house with hot showers. Right on Chief Ladiga Rail trail about 6 miles west of AL/GA border. We road east, will come back to ride west segment. Dark at night for star gazing. Friendly folks.
Cheaha is great for year round camping. Some of the states best hiking trails. Best time to hike is Winter (IMO) when the leaves are mostly gone and you have great views all around. Also trails for mtn. biking. Campgrounds are in great shape with clean bath houses. I’ve camped at both lower and…

Had a great time. What was going to be 3 day trip, turned into 6. So many trails and waterfalls to find.
READ- Some of the reviews of Sweetwater Campground at Allatoona are for Sweetwater Creek State Park. These are two completely different parks in two completely different parts of Georgia. SCofA does not have a mill, ruins, river or mountain trails. It does have a lake. Allatoona Lake. Pay attention…
Camp site was easy to pull in , picnic table was on one side and fire ring was on the other, which once you settle down, the view was nice. Two site over, neighbors were loud but the neighbors on the other side were quite.
