Great COVID time at Oz

Spent a weekend in March 2021 at Oz. Had a great time even though it was early in the season.

Great campground

The tent sites sit in a hill and may have a slight incline where you have to set them up. However the view ftom above the RVs is worth it. Electric and water sites. Bath house snd laundry room. Playground nearby.

Nice wooded Lot

On day of my second visit 4/6/21 park was open and ready for campers. Site is right next to DNR Ocgmulgee River acces. Grass well maintained, sites not well marked, while electric may be mostly 30 amp, #16 and likely others are 50 amp. No RV Dump found, all sites do have water. As of this date, cost…

Not worth it

Campground was full but paid for the day use so I could go hiking and use the bathroom after being on the road for 5 hours straight. Well...there were no bathrooms EXCEPT in the campground. Therefore there was no parking for the bathrooms.

The park is mostly roads. Roads that lead you only to…

Very clean

We camp here once or twice a year. Clean bathrooms and showers. I do feel for the tent campers, as there is nothing flat about the “tent only” sites. You can, however rent an RV spot and use a tent. (Just not the water front sites. Not sure why, this is a fairly new rule, because we used to tent…

Absolutely not tent friendly

This park has great hiking, which is honestly the only positive thing I have to say about arrowhead. There are several miles of dirt bike trail that is hiker friendly, of various difficulties.

The camp ground itself is well maintained, but tent campers are not allowed to rent ANY of the sites…

Relax and Kick back

Beautiful park, close to the road, but private enough to relax. Drop your kayak in from a waterfront site an enjoy Lake Juliette, popular for Bass fishing. Or set your hammocks up and enjoy the breeze and view of the trees. We paid for a premium site and had more area than others, totally worth it.…

A Gem

I’m relatively new to camping life. But I know what I like. Quiet. Room to breathe. Nice view. Water or mountains...preferably both. Inexpensive or free.

Lake views but...

Beautiful views, but many of the sites on the far loop are full sun. We stayed at site 26. The view was beautiful, the sun was pretty rough until it went down, that spot is particularly sunny. The road noice in the far loop is horrible, all night long!! I didn’t realize it was so close to the road!…

Excellent lake side camping

With under 30 RV spots with 30/50amp, and water hookups. This State Park Campground was awesome. 90% of the spots are right on the beautiful crystal clear lake. We launched our kayaks and swam from our sight so easy and convenient. Quite, relaxing and secluded the lake is situated with in the …

Nice sites near Macon

Came for weekend Cherry Blossom Festival.  Signage not well marked for finding sites.   Not many trees at all. I like a lot of shade.  Small beach area.   Launch site for anglers.   Bath facility decent.   Sites easy to back into.   Overall ok for my needs.
