Juniper Breaks was Great!

This campground was great! Easy to get to with gas stations and shops about 15 min away so you can pick stuff up if needed. The spots are well spaced so you don’t feel on top of your neighbors. Bathrooms are not far from any spot. Tons of trails to the water lots of places to explore.

Great Lake Camping

This was first camping trip staying in a Colorado State park and it was great! We had an electric only back-in site next to the bathhouse which was clean and had 4 separate bathrooms with showers. Our site was located next to a water spigot but we filled our water tank in our RV before we got to…

Quiet in the shoulder season

General: One of three campgrounds at Lake Pueblo State Park, Arkansas Point is located on the eastern shore of the park and is easily accessible from the town of Pueblo. You must have a reservation but can make same-day reservations. In addition to the campsite fee, you must have a day-use pass…

A favorite spot

A favorite camping spot for me and my friends. Paid reservations and you need to pay a daily parking fee unless you have a state park pass. Hot in the summer!! Juniper breaks is alright but we really loved the kettle creek campground much better. Just be aware the water pump in kettle creek shoots…

A true desert oasis!

Lake Pueblo State Park offers 13+ miles of trails for hiking and biking, plus incredible access to Lake Pueblo itself.

The Arkansas Point Campground is a great place to camp. Sites offer mostly level pavement and 20/30/50 electric hookups. There is no water or sewer at the camp sites, but…

Very nice campground

We stayed for one night in early October, at site 159. Level parking, and although we were somewhat close to our nearest neighbor to the east, it seemed like most sites offered privacy. As other have said, most if not all sites have covered picnic tables which are certainly nice in the Colorado…

Won’t Go Back Ever

There is nothing to do unless you have a boat. No swimming allowed & it was 90*. The 1 area that allowed swimming was closed. Playground was closed & the rubber ground had lots of holes. We had electric hookups only. Our reservation was for 2 nights & only stayed 1. It was miserable.…

Hot Happy Campers

Hot, hot, hot and more hot. Okay, now that we’ve gotten that out of the way- the fishing here is great from the shore and a boat. You can spend a day just floating around on a tube, or simply drinking an iced cold tea under a shade structure.

Just know. In the summer-it’s hot!

Nice place

Good place. Hot in summer, but. Ice cool nights and mornings. Signage coming in was lacking. Web site and phone calls said “sold out” but there must have been 25 spots open that we could see. Electric, but no water. Nice showers and bath.

High plains camping-wind, wind and more wind

Nothing to write home about but it has electric. Decent spacing between sites but nothing between sites except sagebrush and dirt really equals zero separation.

Plenty of option

Pueblo Reservoir has plenty of options for day use and also camping. Whether you want to boat, fish, swim, hike, sun tan or just chill with some scenery- you can do it here. It’s nice but sometimes has a foul fish smell depending on where you are in the park. There are facilities around and…

Good for boaters

We had a fairly spacious site but beware back to back sites when booking. Some sites looked like a pull through that was split into two sites which is not great for privacy. Most campers had large RVs and came with their boats. This seems like a perfect camping spot for boaters since all the…

Sunsets and Starry Skies

We stayed in Yuca Flats, site 459 for 4 days in July. 459 was a large site, kind of out of the way of other campsites but all sites were nicely spread out and open. We had great views of the reservoir and distant mountains. Sunsets were beautiful and the nighttime show of stars spectacular! The…
